Overview
The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) role is responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle management of Mastercard’s hardware assets, ensuring accurate inventory, regulatory compliance, financial transparency, and operational efficiency across the enterprise. This role partners closely with Procurement, Technology, Field Services, Finance, Security, and regional operations teams to manage assets from planning and acquisition through deployment, refresh, and disposal, while maintaining Mastercard’s IT Asset Management (ITAM) standards and controls.
Role
Experience in IT Asset Management or Hardware Asset Management within a large, global enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle processes and asset discovery tools.
Proven ability to manage data accuracy, compliance requirements, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Strong analytical, documentation, and executive communication skills.
Special Project management – requested support outside of BAU, oversight, guidance and delivery to completion requirements
Collaborate with Procurement to align purchase orders, vendor data, and asset creation processes.
Work with Field Services and Service Operations to support deployments, break/fix activities, onboarding, and refresh programs.
Act as a point of escalation for hardware asset issues impacting service delivery or compliance.

The ideal candidate for this position:
Hardware Asset Management – 8-10 years.
Procurement Knowledge – Hands-on experience managing IT Asset Lifecycle Procurement.
Basic Knowledge - Asset Tracking & Monitoring
Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, Flexera, or equivalent ITAM tools.
Familiarity with regulatory and control frameworks impacting technology assets.
Experience supporting large‑scale refresh or deployment programs.
Process & Continuous Improvement -Maintain and enhance HAM procedures, KBAs, and playbooks to ensure consistent global execution.
Identify automation opportunities and process efficiencies across the asset lifecycle.
Support enterprise initiatives such as asset tagging governance, data quality improvement, and dashboarding
Governance, Risk & Compliance - Enforce adherence to Mastercard’s ITAM policies, standards, and regulatory expectations, including audit readiness and control compliance.
Partner with Technology Risk Management and Security teams to remediate data gaps, tagging issues, and non‑compliant assets.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate reporting, evidence, and remediation tracking.
