As Senior Governance Manager, you’ll work at the heart of Bupa’s evolving Diagnostics & Secondary Care portfolio, bringing together teams from across our current and newly acquired sites. This role is about alignment and integration—embedding consistent governance standards, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that every site operates to the highest levels of patient safety and quality. You’ll be a key driver in harmonising processes and culture across diverse teams, supporting our ambition to deliver excellence and achieve CQC Outstanding.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Deliver expert governance support to Registered Managers and governance teams across multiple sites.
  • Lead implementation of the Hospital Quality Review programme and mock CQC audits.
  • Coordinate internal audits and represent DASCL on Bupa’s Group Hospital Forum.
  • Drive digital transformation by embedding systems such as Datix, SAI360, and QPulse.
  • Provide clinical expertise for the Digital Hospital Programme and monitor progress across sites.
  • Coach and mentor governance teams, fostering continuous improvement and leadership development.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Champion patient safety and quality standards through collaborative governance forums.

Key Skills / Qualifications

Essential:

  • 10+ years’ recent experience in a secondary care environment as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years in a senior leadership role within acute care.
  • Significant governance experience in a senior capacity.
  • Strong digital capability (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel) and openness to AI tools.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities across sites.

Desirable:

  • Experience working across multiple hospital sites.
