The Global Logistic & Fulfilment team oversees planning, coordinating, and execution of the transportation and distribution of products from CM's to markets across international borders. Reacting in near real-time to global events utilising digital visibility to provide reliable, efficient, and cost-effective logistics services on a global scale.

About the role

The Senior Global Logistics Engineering Manager leads Dyson’s global logistics and fulfilment processes, focusing on operational efficiency to enable speed, scale, and high service standards across our dynamic, innovation-driven business.

This role owns the global warehouse and transportation operating model, drives process standardisation and optimisation, and ensures top-tier performance management across all regions. The role is also responsible for advancing smart logistics by integrating system intelligence and data-driven decision making, increasing visibility and agility across the supply chain. In addition, this leader shapes and implements the warehouse and logistics network transformation strategy, building an intelligent, future-ready network aligned with Dyson’s long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Logistics Network Strategy & Operating Model

  • Design, Execute Dyson’s global logistics and fulfilment strategy, aligned with Business growth priorities & requirements.

  • Design and continuously evolve a scalable global logistics operating model across inbound, warehousing, outbound, and last‑mile distribution.

  • Balance global standardisation with local execution, ensuring consistency of outcomes across regions.

2. End‑to‑End Process Optimisation & Standardisation

  • Lead end‑to‑end logistics process optimisation, from factory handover through final customer delivery and returns.

  • Establish and govern global standards, SOPs, and operating rhythms across warehouse and transportation networks.

  • Embed a continuous improvement culture through Lean principles, automation, and data‑driven problem solving to improve speed, quality, reliability, and cost.

3. Performance Management & Operational Excellence

  • Own Dyson’s global logistics performance management framework, covering service, cost, productivity, capacity utilisation, and reliability.

  • Establish strong business review cadences, performance deep dives, and corrective‑action tracking across regions and partners.

  • Drive transparency, accountability, and sustained performance improvement across the global logistics network.

4. Cost, Productivity & Efficiency Leadership

  • Own the global logistics cost structure across warehousing and transportation.

  • Deliver sustainable improvements in cost per unit, fulfilment productivity, and network efficiency without compromising service or customer experience.

  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and ROI tracking for major logistics investments and transformation initiatives.

5. Warehouse & Transportation Capability Ownership

  • Lead integrated efficiency programs across warehouses and transportation to optimise cost, speed, resilience, and scalability.

  • Drive global network design, capacity planning, productivity improvement, and automation initiatives across fulfilment and distribution centres.

  • Lead transportation optimisation initiatives to improve delivery speed, carrier performance, network resilience, and carbon footprint.

  • Manage strategic 3PL, carrier, and logistics partner relationships to ensure strong operational execution and commercial outcomes.

6. Technology, Data & Digital Enablement

  • Own global logistics transportation management platform

  • Partner with Digital and IT teams to define and deliver logistics systems, analytics, and automation roadmaps.

  • Leverage data, dashboards, and advanced analytics to enable proactive decision‑making and operational control.

  • Ensure logistics capabilities are future‑fit to support Dyson’s growth, complexity, and speed requirements.

7. Global Program & Change Management

  • Lead complex, cross‑functional global logistics programs, delivering against scope, timeline, and measurable benefits.

  • Enable logistics readiness and scalability to support Dyson’s rapid new product introduction (NPI) cadence and geographic expansion.

  • Drive effective change management and adoption across regions as operating models, processes, and systems evolve.

8. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders across Market Supply Chain, 3PL/4PL, Customer Experience, IT, and Finance.

  • Champion Dyson’s culture of innovation, operational rigour, and continuous improvement across global logistics operations.

About you

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in global logistics, supply chain, or fulfilment, including senior leadership roles within complex, multi‑region organisations.

  • Proven track record of driving global process optimisation, performance management, and large‑scale transformation or efficiency programs across warehouse and transportation networks.

  • Deep functional expertise across warehousing, transportation, and third‑party logistics (3PL) management, including network design, cost optimisation, and productivity improvement.

  • Strong systems and operational control expertise, with hands‑on leadership of logistics platforms such as WMS, TMS, and control tower solutions, enabling end‑to‑end visibility, performance control, and data‑driven decision‑making.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and govern global operating standards, KPIs, and management cadences supported by robust systems and analytics.

  • Strong analytical, financial, and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, building business cases, and tracking ROI for logistics and automation investments.

  • Proven change leadership capability, driving adoption of new processes, systems, and operating models across diverse regional teams and partners.
