We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-oriented Senior Global Hardware & Software Asset Manager for our Global IT organization. This role, part of the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) and Digital Workplace team, focuses on Hardware and Software Asset Management. The primary responsibility is to oversee the lifecycle management of hardware and software assets within the FLBG organization. 

 

This position ensures that assets are efficiently utilized, properly accounted for, and compliant with licensing agreements and organizational policies. The individual will work within the Global Digital Workplace to optimize the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of assets. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that software and hardware usage aligns with business needs and agreements. 

The Senior Global Asset Manager will oversee all aspects of global mobility, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources and operations. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, and optimizing mobility solutions across all sites. Additionally, the candidate will play a key role in enhancing our global mobility programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement process for hardware and software, evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating contracts, creating Notices of Contract Approval (NCA), and ensuring value for money. Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets, including licenses, subscriptions, and device metrics. Conduct regular audits and asset assessments to ensure compliance with organizational policies and licensing requirements. 
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation regarding software licenses, entitlements, and usage agreements. Stay informed about trends in hardware and software technology to recommend upgrades, replacements, or new acquisitions that align with business goals. Analyze software performance and cost-effectiveness to provide recommendations for renewals or acquisitions.  
  • Collaborate with Desktop Eng. And  IT Service Desk teams to ensure the timely deployment, maintenance, and retirement of hardware assets. Analyze asset usage data to identify underutilized hardware and software, recommending reallocations, upgrades, or disposals as necessary.   
  • Creating and maintain the Global Desktop Engineers' knowledge base  

This is a hybrid global position located at our Hillerød site in Denmark. Limited business travelling should be expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • +10 years of experience in IT Asset Management or a related IT operations role. 
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles, lifecycle processes, and ITIL framework. 
  • Proficiency with ITSM systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and asset management tools. 
  • Significant experience with various operating systems, particularly Microsoft Windows 10 and 11,  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2016-2019, Office 365, Teams, and cloud-based phone systems, with strong administrative knowledge. 
  • Excellent knowledge of computer hardware, including PCs and network  
  • Knowledge of compliance standards related to licensing and hardware disposal. 
  • Effective communicator in English, both verbal and written. 
  • Experience in regulated environments preferred. 

The Senior Global Asset Manager must have a service-oriented mindset and the ability to handle customer requests, prioritizing them based on criticality. Additionally, candidates should excel in managing budgets and possess extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software asset management.

The Senior Global Asset Manager should exhibit a self-motivated and resourceful attitude, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to service.
