Hiring: Senior GL Accountant
I'm Laura Širvinskaitė and I'm currently looking for a Senior GL Accountant to join my team of professionals in Vilnius. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate and compliant financial and tax reporting.
What you’ll do:
· Be responsible for the General Ledger accounting processes for Telia Global Services Lithuania, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Actively contribute to period‑end closing activities by preparing journal entries, various calculations and financial reports.
· Prepare and submit tax declarations in line with Lithuanian legislation, ensuring full compliance, timeliness and accuracy.
· Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring control over financial data.
· Prepare local statutory and statistical reports required by Lithuanian authorities.
· Actively participate in annual audits.
· Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to increase efficiency and quality.
· Collaborate closely with other business units and support various finance‑related projects.
What will help you thrive in this role:
A suitable candidate has strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify inconsistencies. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You should be able to work and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations.
· 3+ years of experience in General Accounting.
· Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation and accounting standards both IFRS and Local GAAP.
· Hands‑on experience in General Ledger, tax accounting and period‑end closing processes.
· Fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.
· Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is considered an advantage.

Monthly salary range for this position: 3800 - 4400 EUR (gross) + annual performance bonus. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
