We are looking for a Senior GenAI Program Manager to join the SW GenAI Core Team, which is leading Applied Materials’ corporate-wide AI-Driven Productivity Program. This is a hands-on, strategic role responsible for building, architecting, and driving multi-track programs that accelerate GenAI adoption across R&D. The right candidate will not just track an existing program — he will initiate, design, and own it from the ground up, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Israel, India (Bangalore), and US (Santa Clara).

What’s in it for you?

This is an opportunity to be at the heart of Applied Materials’ AI transformation, impacting the entire R&D organization while working with cutting-edge GenAI tools and methodologies. You’ll gain exposure to multiple business units, collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization, and play a critical role in shaping how we adopt and measure AI-driven productivity improvements. Your insights and execution will directly contribute to ambitious organizational goals and drive real impact.

Our Group:

The SW GenAI Core Team is a newly established team (∼5 people) leading Applied Materials’ corporate-wide AI-Driven Productivity Program. We develop methodologies, frameworks, AI tools, best practices (BKMs), and playbooks while defining adoption plans and measurement tools to achieve ambitious productivity improvement targets. We operate in a dynamic, matrix-management environment collaborating across PDC R&D centers in Israel and Bangalore, working closely with Applied Materials HQ AI leadership in Santa Clara to align on strategy and best practices.

What you’ll be doing:

Build & Own the Program: Architect, initiate, and drive the GenAI productivity program from the ground up — defining structure, tracks, milestones, and deliverables across multiple parallel workstreams. Multi-Track Program Management: Manage several complex, concurrent program tracks simultaneously, maintaining visibility into interdependencies, timelines, and risks at all levels of the organization. Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and dependencies; develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues in a timely manner. Stakeholder & Matrix Management: Work effectively in a matrix organization, driving alignment with software managers, team leads, product managers, and senior executives across Israel, Bangalore, and Santa Clara. Budget Management: Manage the program’s tools and licensing budget — plan, forecast, track spend, and make strategic recommendations on resource allocation. Metrics & KPI Ownership: Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and acceptance criteria; challenge assumptions and translate data into actionable insights. Executive Visibility & Reporting: Create and maintain program dashboards and scorecards; present program status, risks, and progress clearly to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

What Should You Have?

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA is an advantage. 8+ years of hands-on experience in complex, cross-functional program management — managing multiple parallel tracks and high-complexity programs simultaneously. Strategic program thinking — proven ability to initiate and build programs from scratch, not just track or execute existing ones. Political intelligence — ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics, knowing when to push forward, when to listen, and when to escalate. Stakeholder & matrix management — experience driving alignment across diverse stakeholders at all seniority levels, including executive presentations. Budget management — hands-on experience managing tools, licensing, and program budgets, including forecasting and multi-year planning. Metrics & data literacy — ability to define KPIs, build scorecards, interpret dashboards, and challenge assumptions with data. Technical aptitude — technology-oriented mindset with the ability to understand software development concepts, AI/ML workflows, and engage meaningfully with technical teams. AI/GenAI mindset with hands-on experience — natural inclination to leverage GenAI tools in daily work, openness to AI-augmented workflows, and proven ability to build small projects or prototypes with AI tools. This role requires rolling up your sleeves and working directly with data and AI systems, not just coordinating meetings. Fast learner who embraces change — ability to quickly understand technical concepts, adapt to new tools and methodologies, and operate comfortably in a fast-evolving environment.

What Gives You an Advantage?

Experience leading a large-scale AI transformation or digital transformation program. Analytics or data visualization experience. Prior experience in the semiconductor or technology industry.
