JOB DESCRIPTION 

Iron EagleX is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build, maintain, and modernize web applications. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver user-facing features backed by reliable APIs, scalable services, and well-structured data models. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working across the stack, integrating application functionality into an existing microservice environment, and helping evolve legacy systems into modern services over time. 

 

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT 

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in React to build and maintain user-friendly, scalable, and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with product designers, back-end engineers, and stakeholders to create seamless and engaging user experiences. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about modern web development, interactive design, and optimizing front-end performance. 

 

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO) 

  •  Build, maintain, and improve full-stack web applications and supporting services 

  •  Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern web tooling 

  • Design and implement backend APIs and service-layer logic in Golang 

  • Integrate application functionality with shared services, APIs, and data systems across a microservice-based platform 

  • Contribute to the modernization of existing applications by incrementally improving architecture, maintainability, and interoperability 

  • Design and maintain application data models and persistence strategies using SQL, NoSQL, and event-based systems where appropriate 

  •  Write clean, testable, and reusable code, and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards 

  •  Support application deployment and operations in Docker and Kubernetes environments  

  •  Improve system reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability across the stack 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 

  •  10+ years of experience in software engineering across both front-end and back-end development.  

  •  Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience building modern React applications  

  •  Strong backend development experience in Golang 

  •  Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and service-to-service integrations 

  •  Experience working within service-oriented or microservice-based architectures 

  •  Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and EventStoreDB 

  •  Experience with Docker-based development and Kubernetes-based deployment environments 

  •  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control workflows 

  •  Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Clearance: Current TS/SCI Clearance is required   

  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 

  • Role requirements: Work is hybrid with three days onsite at Ft Bragg, NC 

  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

  • Building and shipping full stack applications with React on the front end and Golang services on the back end 

  •  Modernizing legacy applications by incrementally migrating functionality into microservice-based systems 

  •  Integrating application features with existing APIs, shared services, and platform capabilities  

  •  Working effectively with specialized front-end and data engineers in a collaborative environment 

  •  Designing maintainable service boundaries, data models, and integration patterns that support iterative delivery

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
