Job Description:

The Broadridge Information Security Group (BISG) is seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, cloud-native applications that enable advanced control automation, data processing, and intelligent analytics. This role plays a key part in building next-generation platforms that securely integrate with internal systems and modern AI services.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building production-grade scalable applications using Python and React.js, deploying them in AWS using cloud-native services and infrastructure-as-code principles, and integrating backend services with machine learning models and generative AI. This is a technical role requiring comfort with cloud architecture, full stack design patterns, and the operational responsibilities that come with supporting and evolving internally developed platforms.

This role works closely with BISG product owners, security and cloud architects, DevOps teams, and Broadridge business stakeholders to implement secure-by-design solutions. The Developer will contribute to multiple initiatives over time, helping to expand BISG’s in-house engineering capabilities while ensuring that application logic, infrastructure, and security controls remain aligned with enterprise standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React.js, Python, and frameworks like FastAPI.
• Build scalable APIs and backend logic for data-driven and AI-integrated platforms.
• Ensure high code quality through unit testing, secure coding practices, and peer reviews.

Cloud-Native Architecture and DevOps

• Design and deploy components using AWS services such as EC2, Fargate, S3, Glue, Secrets Manager, and CloudFront.
• Use Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines.

 AI and ML Integration

• Integrate applications with generative AI platforms like OpenAI or AWS Bedrock through secure APIs.
• Support Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using tools such as PGVector, OpenSearch, and preprocessing utilities.

Security and Compliance

• Apply secure development practices aligned with Broadridge’s enterprise security frameworks and policies.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure proper isolation of layers, identity management, encryption, and data handling protocols.

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with stakeholders across geographies to understand requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Support application troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, REST API integration, HTML/CSS.
• Backend: Python (with FastAPI or Flask), RESTful API development, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• AWS Services: EC2, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Glue, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, Secrets Manager, Glacier.
• AI/ML Integration: Experience with OpenAI APIs or AWS Bedrock, RAG pipelines, PGVector, OpenSearch.
• DevOps: Terraform, Git, CI/CD practices.
• Security: Familiarity with identity management, network and data segmentation, secure data storage and transmission.
• General: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in full stack development with production-grade deployments in AWS.
• Experience designing multi-tiered architectures with clean separation of presentation, business, and data layers.
• Previous exposure to RAG pipelines, semantic search, or secure integration of LLMs in production environments.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and cloud governance frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001).
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, CCSK, or CCSP.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or insurance.
