Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our finance team as a Senior FP&A Manager. This role will lead the company's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function in coordination with the Senior Director, Finance. The position will lead the preparation of the company's annual budgets, mid-year forecasts and monthly reporting packages. The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate monthly reporting of the company's results in coordination with the accounting, tax and SEC reporting teams.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Evaluate company performance through financial, metric-based data, and plan for the future through budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the company
  • Lead the preparation, reporting and analysis of annual operating budgets and forecasts including, but not limited to, revenue, expenses, headcount, and capital expenditures
  • Analyze, understand, and explain variances of actual results to budget to relevant parties
  • Meet regularly with functional managers to discuss monthly results and provide support for maintaining positive financial control
  • Align with the accounting team to ensure proper recognition of revenue and expense items monthly
  • Analyze and evaluate revenue data to support business growth
  • Identify and coordinate necessary data clean-up activities with various other departments within the company to ensure accurate monthly reporting
  • Assist senior management with obtaining debt facilities
  • Perform other ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Lead a team of Financial Analysts
  • Performs other functions and duties as required

 The skills and experience that you will bring: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting emphasis; MBA preferred
  • 8-10+ years financial planning, analysis and/or modeling experience
  • In depth understanding of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Experience with deferred revenue and revenue recognition principles
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • ERP experience, NetSuite preferred
  • Tableau experience preferred
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Detail oriented, advanced analytical and technical skills required
  • Ability to work autonomously within prescribed guidelines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure with multiple deadlines

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package.  The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
