Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a talented Senior FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst to join our FP&A Team. This role is integral to supporting a $4B organization, leveraging advanced technology to enable critical missions and global defense initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Defense Sector's indirect expenses and drive forecasting, planning, and analysis activities.
We are looking for someone who can provide partial onsite support from either Reston - VA or Huntsville - AL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support annual operating planning (AOP) and quarterly forecasting using the Insight planning tool, including enhancing Excel models and reports.
- Lead forecasting and budgeting for Manufacturing segment Co 181 indirect site-level expenses, segment rate reporting, and contribute to segment strategy.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly review packages (Close, MORs, QBRs) to leadership.
- Deliver monthly variance reports to Corporate and assist with DCMA/DCAA audits as needed.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to develop accurate expense forecasts and lead expense reviews for functional areas such as Business Development, CTO, Talent Acquisition, Subcontracts, Procurement, Pricing, Security, and HR.
- Communicate actionable business insights and recommendations to achieve sector goals, focusing on cost reduction, process optimization, and profitability.
- Drive innovation and automation through process improvements and robust reporting.
- Execute ad-hoc special projects and analysis on high-priority topics, presenting findings to the Defense Sector CFO and Leadership team.
- Support M&A and investment strategies as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required with 8+ years of relevant FP&A experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant FP&A experience.
- Proven experience in project analysis, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, accounting, and budgeting.
- Advanced proficiency in Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Leidos Financial Planning and Reporting systems (Insight) and Oracle Reporting Tools.
- Familiarity with Costpoint and Insight.
- Demonstrated ability to present to and influence executives.
- Working knowledge of government accounting regulations (CAS, FAR).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
