About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to partner with our largest and most complex financial institution customers. In this role, you will work directly with banks and regulated enterprises to design, implement, and deploy secure, scalable solutions in production environments.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, compliance, and customer delivery—translating regulatory, security, operational, and business requirements into high-quality technical implementations. Beyond deployments, you will help shape and build product capabilities that solve critical financial institution business problems, ensuring our platform evolves to meet real-world enterprise needs.
This role requires strong technical depth, comfort navigating regulated environments, product thinking, and the ability to build trust with senior technical and business stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Embed with enterprise financial institution customers during discovery, design, implementation, and go-live
Translate regulatory, security, compliance, and business requirements (e.g., SOC 2, PCI, FFIEC, GLBA) into technical designs and deployment plans
Partner with customers to deeply understand their operational and strategic business challenges, and design solutions that drive measurable outcomes
Design and build secure integrations using APIs, event-driven systems, and data pipelines
Contribute production-grade code and reusable components that evolve into core product capabilities
Implement solutions that meet performance, resiliency, auditability, and availability standards
Serve as technical lead for customer deployments, including architecture reviews and risk assessments
Collaborate closely with product, platform, security, and compliance teams to influence roadmap and prioritize features based on customer needs
Identify systemic gaps across deployments and convert them into scalable product enhancements
Troubleshoot complex issues across application, infrastructure, data, and security layers
Develop reusable reference architectures, deployment patterns, and best practices for regulated environments
Travel requirement ~ 40/50% to customer sites
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience as a software engineer or solutions engineer
Strong experience building and deploying enterprise-grade systems in regulated environments
Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and product improvements
Proficiency in more than one of the modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, TypeScript, Go)
Hands-on experience with APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth, mTLS, SAML), and secure data handling
Experience with cloud infrastructure and enterprise deployment models (AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid, or on-prem)
Solid understanding of non-functional requirements: security, compliance, availability, performance, and disaster recovery
Strong product instincts and the ability to balance customer customization with scalable platform design
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering, security, and executive stakeholders
Comfortable working directly with customers in high-stakes, high-visibility engagements
Nice to Have
Experience working with banks, credit unions, or payment networks
Familiarity with financial data flows, core banking systems, or payment processing
Exposure to risk management, audit, or vendor due diligence processes
Experience participating in security reviews, architecture review boards, or regulatory exams
Background in implementation, professional services, or forward-deployed engineering teams
This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
