Understands and has the ability to create Fire Sprinkler Estimate Designs from architectural drawings and specification sets.
Create Fire Sprinkler cost estimates and proposals based on the Estimate Design.
Understands construction fundamentals while being able to read and comprehend construction documents.
Perform tasks such as downloading documents, setting up folders, and completing Excel and Word documents.
Works closely with other sales staff to complete estimates efficiently and accurately.
Data entry for companywide job tracking purposes.
Responsible for preliminary system layout and design for estimating projects.
Communication with AHJ or other governing agencies.
Responsible for writing and submitting RFIs during the bidding phase of the project.
Attendance of sales meetings as mandated by manager.
Responsible for code research related to projects as required.
Review and monitor online plan room services for future project opportunities.
Complete and maintain contractor and owner pre-qualification forms as required.
Manage project portal websites.
Attend trade networking functions.
Travel to project sites for pre-bid meetings and surveys.
Meet with clients.
Works with operations team to convey the project details to the design, project management and installation teams assisting as needed to ensure the project’s success.
Meets with the design, project management and installation teams at the completion of projects to access what worked and didn’t work to share with others on the sales and pre-construction team.
Implements gained knowledge from past projects on future projects to ensure continued success.
Occasional domestic travel and possibility of foreign travel as required.
Establish and maintain a continuing positive relationship with new and existing accounts.
Monitor and set goals throughout the year for assigned territory.
Identify and analyze customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
Provide regular feedback and reports regarding performance.
Acts as a company representative with potential customers and clients.
Must be able to build and/or maintain valuable relationships with multiple long-term customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Construction management, business or engineering degree preferred. Equivalent history of experience will be considered.
Drafting/ trade school degree or certificate preferred. Equivalent history of experience will be considered.
Previous fire sprinkler experience required minimum 15 years, with minimum 5 years dedicated to the design of fire sprinkler systems and sales.
NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler Technology. Level III preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position may encounter light lifting of materials for delivery.
Onsite demands would require walking and standing for long periods of time, climbing and descending ladders/steps.
