The Senior Financial Reporting Professional prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization. The Senior Financial Reporting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Financial Reporting Professional ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. Prepares consolidation journal entries, eliminates intercompany transactions and consolidates divisional and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Financial audits and oversight of MMR/Capitation payments to ensure profitability of systems, functions and department.  
  • Collaborate with Finance, MRA, Provider and Markets on key processes, such as ESRD and SNP plans.  
  • Design financial reports and dashboards.  
  • Assist with department budget maintenance.  
  • Educate and influence other departments within MPS on good financial practices.  
  • Present findings to leadership and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of General accounting experience and expertise
  • Experience with broad-based financial reporting, e.g., across departmental lines, a company division, an entire company, a municipality, and/or a 501c organization
  • Experience that includes vendor management, vendor analysis, and/or vendor relationships
  • Experience working with regulators and compliance
  • Must be within driving distance to Louisville, KY

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$86,300 - $118,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
