At Posti, reliable financial reporting builds trust – inside and outside the company. We’re now looking for an experienced and engaged Senior Financial Controller to strengthen our Group Accounting team.

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to Posti Group’s external reporting and to the continuous development of our financial reporting processes. You’ll be part of our Group Accounting team and will collaborate closely with colleagues across Group Finance, Business Controlling, Treasury, Investor Relations, our Shared Service Center and many other teams. You’ll report to the Head of Group Accounting.

As Senior Financial Controller, you’ll proactively bring your expertise to group accounting, consolidation, and reporting processes. You'll have a key role in preparing annual and quarterly reports and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements as we prepare for a future consolidation tool implementation. You will also act as a key advisor to other finance teams in matters related to external reporting. Your responsibilities will be tailored to your experience and competencies.

This position is permanent and located at Postitalo in Helsinki.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Contributing to group consolidation and external reporting.
  • Ensuring accurate and reliable financial results across all group companies, and strong compliance at the Group level.
  • Taking ownership of selected areas, such as ESEF reporting (together with an external partner) and impairment testing, and act as a technical expert in external accounting matters at Group level.
  • Providing IFRS accounting guidance for complex, unusual transactions.
  • Participating in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports together with internal stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.

To succeed in this role, we hope that you have:

  • Solid experience in IFRS, group accounting and consolidation, and external reporting from a group-level role in large/listed company.
  • The ability to see both the big picture and the details.
  • A hands-on, solution-oriented working style.
  • The ability to perform under pressure and to manage tight reporting deadlines alongside development projects.
  • Strong technical skills and confidence in working with financial systems.
  • Experience in modern consolidation/reporting tools or in implementing a consolidation system is considered an advantage.
  • Good collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate topics across a broad organization.
  • A master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • Qualifications as an accountant and/or strong auditing experience are considered an advantage.
