Responsibilities / Tasks

At our offices in Søborg, you will join our Financial Controlling and Reporting team with 3 colleagues. We work closely together, support one another, and combine a strong sense of humor with sharp financial acumen and a keen eye for detail.

Together, we are responsible for tasks such as month-end close, group reporting, and financial controlling across projects and core accounting areas – to name just a few.

As our new senior financial controller, you will hold a broad and central responsibility within your team and contribute directly to the quality and reliability of GEA’s financial reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across local Finance and support both local management and group finance functions.

Your tasks are closely linked to the monthly close and year-end processes and cover a wide range of controlling activities across projects and other core accounting areas, including IFRS compliance. With an upcoming SAP implementation ahead, you will be closely involved in this important transition.

More specifically, you will:

• Take responsibility for overall controlling and reporting environment
• Contribute with project controlling and reporting
• Participate with enhancing financial compliance through accounting and IFRS memos
• Lead the preparation of the annual report and reporting to authorities
• Perform inventory controlling
• Contribute to sustainability reporting
• Ad hoc assistance to various stakeholders and business
• Participate in SAP implementation

Your Profile / Qualifications

With your solid background in accounting and controlling, you are comfortable handling complex financial matters and working with multiple stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment and maintain a structured and detail-oriented approach.

Finally, we imagine that you: 

• Have at least 4 years of relevant experience from an audit firm or a similar role
• Hold a master’s degree or equivalent within auditing or accounting
• Master complex data sets and are an expert Excel user
• Might have experience with Power BI and may also knowledge of either Microsoft Dynamics AX, ERP implementations or SAP – but it is not a requirement
• Are fluent in English
