Senior Financial Analyst - Strategic Pricing

Job Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst - Pricing is responsible for performing a variety of financial analysis activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, dashboards and reporting.  This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills with the ability to present insights and financial information in a clear, concise to senior level management.  The Senior Financial Analyst - Pricing role offers an interesting variety of projects and ample opportunity for professional growth and development.   

Essential Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth through strategic pricing initiatives across all routes to market / products

  • Be a key contributor to product launch teams and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments including Sales, Product Management, Accounting, and Marketing

  • Develop strategic pricing recommendations for new product introductions and existing product lines

  • Analyze the competitive landscape to understand key players, price points, pricing strategy, product offerings, and value differences to identify opportunities for Cambria

  • Assist in the review and development of cost models to aide in profitability analysis

  • Develop financial models / analyses for executive review that ties together pricing strategy, competitive landscape, value proposition and profitability goals

  • Manage and identify areas for process improvement across the pricing ecosystem 

  • Maintain accurate pricing documentation

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong foundation in data analysis, financial modeling, and market research

  • Fundamental understanding of financial concepts (profit, margin, breakeven analysis, price elasticity, etc.) and ability to effectively communicate complex data / financial concepts to higher level stakeholders

  • Experience with process improvement initiatives across finance and/or accounting functions desired

  • Demonstrated decision making and critical thinking

  • Must possess strong attention to detail with ability to execute against deadlines

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple and competing priorities

  • Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with levels of management

  • Ability to work independently in a pro-active manner, or within a team environment

  • Thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Minimum Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration

Experience: 3-7 years of experience in an Accounting or Finance related role

Systems: Advanced MS Excel user, proficient in Microsoft applications.  Experience with Oracle, Tableau or similar operating systems.  Experience with BOARD and/or Salesforce desired but not required.

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples), may need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally, prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel to other Cambria locations

Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
