Senior Financial Analyst

Position Purpose:

The Senior Financial Analyst at the Company is tasked with delivering timely, precise financial insights to support strategic decisions across all management levels, underscoring our commitment to a robust internal control environment. This critical role also manages the financial complexities of rebates, including post-close accounting, leveraging high-level analytical skills to ensure seamless integration and accuracy. With a required foundation of excellent communication, proficiency in Excel, and an ability to adapt to rapid growth, the Senior Financial Analyst will contribute significantly to the financial integrity and expansion of the Company.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead and enhance the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in alignment with corporate standards and guidelines.
Develop and document complex journal entries across multiple rebate processes, ensuring precision and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Conduct thorough reconciliations of critical balance sheet accounts at designated intervals, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
Provide strategic analysis and insight on financial data to senior management, supporting informed decision-making and highlighting key performance indicators.
Address and resolve rebate accounting queries and requests from field operations, demonstrating technical expertise and a solution-oriented mindset.
Manage Rebate systems and processes, generating actionable insights to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies as well as day to day process flows.
Maintain a robust internal control environment, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and enhancing the overall financial integrity of the organization.


Direct Manager Direct Reports:

  • Direct Manager: The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Operational Accounting for the Company. This position functions within a structured department, collaborating primarily with senior management and team members to deliver strategic insights and analysis for informed decision-making.

  • Direct Reports: The Senior Financial Analyst position does not include any direct report responsibilities. The role is focused on providing advanced financial analysis and contributing to team projects without direct supervisory duties.


Travel Requirements:

The Senior Financial Analyst for the Company is required to travel up to 5% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

The role of Senior Financial Analyst at the Company is primarily office-based and involves standard physical expectations consistent with a corporate environment. The position requires the ability to remain in a stationary sitting posture for prolonged periods during the execution of computer-based tasks. Regular operation of standard office equipment, such as computers and telecommunication devices, is essential. The role necessitates proficient visual and auditory focus, with frequent verbal interaction with team members and stakeholders. Additionally, occasional movement within the office to access file storage, attend meetings, or collaborate with colleagues is anticipated. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED

  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related function within a corporate or consulting environment.

  • Proven experience in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial data to support strategic decision-making.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data modeling capabilities.

  • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and familiarity with financial regulatory requirements.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing actionable insights.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated history of fostering a sound internal control environment and resolving complex accounting and financial issues.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred or related work experience in a Rebate role.

  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis or accounting experience

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills

  • Effective Team collaboration skills

  • Outstanding project management experience

Minimum Education:

Highschool Diploma/GED

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
