This opportunity entails being responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data, trends, and performance to provide insights and recommendations to Great Lakes Division leadership. This position will involve comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and decision support activities, enabling the organization to make informed financial decisions.
What You’ll Do:
- Provides expert-level financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and modeling to support management decision-making. Uses business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest areas for improving operations.
- Synthesizes large amounts of data into meaningful summarized reports to enhance leadership’s ability to understand the information and make decisions. Confidently communicate insightful findings and recommendations.
- Demonstrates the ability to incorporate innovative technologies into financial analysis, models, and forecasts. Stays ahead of industry trends and proactively identifies opportunities for leveraging technology to optimize financial processes.
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains complex business applications built with Excel and/or HNTB Enterprise Reporting Solutions.
- Leads monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reporting and planning activities.
- Generates, creates, and evaluates complex standard and ad hoc financial and business-related analyses under minimal guidance.
- Develops graphs, charts, and presentations to clearly show data trends and projections. Interprets data and communicates results.
- Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect Sales, Revenue, Earnings, and Cash. Provides interpretation and makes recommendations. Analyzes data proactively to discover opportunities for prospective metric improvement.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to HNTB financial analysts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree and 7 years finance or related experience, or
- In lieu of education, 11 years finance or related experience
What You'll Bring:
- Most advanced role with a focus on complex data analysis and a strong understanding of HNTB processes
- Expert Excel & analytical skills
- Exceptional finance and business acumen including big picture understanding of the drivers and interrelationships of profitability and cash flow.
- Strong attention to detail
- Motivated and intellectually curious
- Ability to analyze trends, interpret data, and confidently communicate insightful findings and recommendations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Subject Matter Expert in HNTB software applications and enterprise reporting platforms
- Takes ownership of assignments and demonstrates commitment to deadlines.
- Takes leadership role in and/or facilitates ad-hoc assignments.
- Provides training and onboarding for other financial analysts and other internal stakeholders.
What We Prefer:
- Data visualization experience
- Confidence and risk-based analytics
- Preparation of slide decks and webcast materials
- Assimilate data from various locations to monitor, track, and analyze trends

The approximate pay range for Ohio is $107,692.55 - $168,442.20. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
