Are you a skilled, experienced, detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy, innovation, and strategic insight?

We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our finance team to lead the preparation of management and financial reports for our UK operations.  This is your chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • To accurately prepare management and financial information for the UK, reporting to group.  
  • Advise and liaise with finance staff, other departments, managers and colleagues, other sites and functions, Board of Directors and external advisers.
  • Ensure delivery of accurate, complete and on-time reporting, actuals/budgets and forecasts. 
  • Drive business improvements. 
  • Mentor and develop your direct report.
  • System development - reports and innovation.
  • Work with other departments to improve practices from a financial and business perspective, e.g. Sales & Estimating, Purchasing, Technical and Project Management. 
  • Liaise with internal and external audit and corporate finance.
  • Ensure the integrity of the business system including cost rollups/utilisation rates.
  • Ensure a smooth alignment with the recent statutory merger of several entities. 
  • Support the Financial Controller and deputise in absence.
  • Support/lead future projects. 
  • WIP and other related balance sheet reconciliations, CPRs, order reporting, POC revenue reporting, cost of sales, margin reporting, variance analysis, utilisation and efficiency reporting.

  • Strong numeric and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • PC/ERP skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • A mindset to improve processes to make continuous improvements in automation, efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to work with colleagues, both within and outside of finance
  • Experience of working in an international reporting environment
  • Detailed knowledge of procedures relating to finance, preferably in a multi-jurisdiction and projects-based company
  • Knowledge of group management and financial accounting (IFRS)
  • Good direct and indirect tax knowledge
  • Ability to interpret and challenge the results to provide insight for improvements
  • Knowledge of general financial and management finance procedures
  • Flexible/can do attitude
  • A formal accountancy qualification is desirable
