As a GE Appliances’ Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting detailed reports on the financial performance of the organization. They will work on the monthly closure of books of accounts along with preparing various SOPs to ensure the compliance goals of the organization are met. The senior finance analyst is also responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements, reports, financial statements, and analyses in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Support and ensure compliance to statutory and group audits.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems that support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial information is accurate, timely, and relevant to decision making.          
  • Collaborate relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate financial close every month in line with the relevant accounting standards and within deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax requirements and regulations with respect to GST, Customs duty, and other indirect taxes.
  • Setting up and developing SOPs for business.
  • Preparation of forecasts and estimates on regular basis.
  • Preparation of necessary reconciliation and ad hoc reports as required by management.
  • Implement, design, and maintain controls for managing financial transactions within the entities to ensure compliance with regulations and audit requirements.
  • Overseeing and managing the company secretarial function ensuring the appropriate filings and reports are completed.

  • Operates as a seasoned individual contributor, independently managing core finance processes such as monthly close, reconciliations, and audit support with limited supervision.
  • Owns deliverables and timelines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Independently plans and prioritizes work to meet close, reporting, audit, and compliance deadlines.
  • Manages multiple priorities effectively, particularly during peak close and audit cycles.
  • Analyzes difficult and sometimes complex financial issues, exercising judgment to interpret accounting policies, resolve variances, and address non-routine challenges.
  • Identifies root causes and implements practical solutions within established financial and control frameworks.
  • Influences adherence to financial policies, procedures, and timelines through clear explanation of requirements and risks.
  • Effectively collaborates with cross-functional partners, external auditors, and advisors to resolve issues and support business initiatives.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal controls to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable tax and regulatory requirements, including GST, customs duty, and other indirect taxes.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Preferred Competencies

  • Proficiency in accounting software (like SAP, etc.) and MS office.

Educational and Experiential Background

  • Chartered Accountant degree from ICAI
  • 2- 5 years of prior experience as a financial analyst or related field.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Financial certification preferred (i.e., Ind AS, IFRS, etc.)

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
  • May require occasional weekend or evening work.
  • Occasional conferencing and/or external training attendance may be required at times.
