About You

You are a highly skilled financial professional who thrives on being involved in every stage of a deal—from initial analysis through final execution. You excel at delivering expert financial modeling and analytical insights that support a high‑volume, industry‑leading team. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you enjoy working closely with brokers, marketing, and project administrators to drive strong outcomes and maintain a seamless workflow.

In this role, you will:

  • Underwrite income-producing assets using ARGUS and Excel.

  • Develop sophisticated and highly customized complex financial valuation models

  • Analyze historical operating statements, budgets, leases, and loan agreements, as well as current market conditions to determine financial underwriting assumptions.

  • Review, analyze, comprehend, abstract, and interpret leases, estoppels, and other types of real estate documents.

  • Assess critical property level financial issues and recommend areas for value-add opportunities.

  • Gather and track critical financial data points for research and negotiation purposes.

  • Create evaluations of properties and sensitivity analyses.

  • Analyze mortgage documents and understand prepayments, yield maintenance, and defeasance.

  • Investigate local tax laws to find what triggers re-assessments, how re-assessments are performed and how real estate taxes and transfer taxes are calculated.

  • Write professionally and efficiently for use in client presentations, investment offering memorandums, marketing deliverables, and or other team promotional materials

  • Present results of analyses in a formal client setting to audiences with a wide range of financial acumen.

  • Address financial metrics and implications on the phone with clients and defend the projected numbers.

  • Direct and professional communication with Capital Markets professionals, property managers, asset managers, and principals to clarify inconsistencies found during the underwriting process and address other property specific issues.

  • Proactively keep up with market trends and industry knowledge.  Conduct market research to analyze property and market conditions; synthesize findings in a clear, concise manner

  • Research comparable sales and competitive lease sets to support valuation and market assumptions

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Business, Commerce, or related area required.

  • 5+ years’ experience in underwriting commercial real estate assets

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ARGUS and Costar required

  • Exceptional analytical and research skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience preparing and delivering oral presentations.

  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, navigating challenges with a positive and solution-oriented mindset

  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all.

  • Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills

  • Fundamental understanding of physical condition and operations of commercial real estate buildings

Approximate Compensation Range for this Role: $90,000 to $110,000

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all national locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Certain senior-level roles are eligible for unlimited time off. Employees will also enjoy 10 paid holidays plus two personal flex days throughout the calendar year. Twelve weeks (for birth parents) and 4 weeks (for non-birth parents, including adoptive/foster parents) for paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of 90 days of employment.Individuals may be eligible for different or additional benefits under applicable state law.
