What You Will Do
Raytheon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst/Business Partner to join the fast growing Training Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will deliver accurate, high quality financial analysis and insights to support both Finance and Programme teams. Strong Project Accounting experience is essential, as the role involves contributing to the Annual Operating Plan, 5 Year Plan, quarterly EACs, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis. This position requires resilience in a high pressure environment and is well suited to someone looking to broaden their skills while supporting effective programme delivery across a diverse existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Support delivery of key financial targets, including bookings, sales, profit and cash.
Contribute to setting AOP and 5year plan targets.
Assist the Programme Execution Team with quarterly EAC reporting.
Support new business proposals for Gate Reviews, including pricing, BOE development, FX considerations, and risk/opportunity management.
Act as the financial conscience of the business, ensuring compliance with policies and processes.
Provide financial insight to strengthen risk and opportunity planning and decision making.
Build strong relationships across all stakeholders.
Champion best practice and drive improvements to systems and processes.
Work with the Finance Manager to produce clear, meaningful analysis for investment decisions and pricing.
Deliver adhoc financial analysis and decision support as required.
Essential Skills
The ideal candidate will be a qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong Project Accounting experience. You’ll bring proven business partnering capability, working confidently across a range of internal functions, along with relevant commercial experience gained within the defence sector or a similarly complex, contract driven environment.
Desirable Skills
Ideally, you’ll also bring experience using SAP, Cognos and core MS Office applications, particularly Excel, along with a proactive, analytical mindset and strong attention to detail. Being highly organised and self motivated is important, as are excellent communication and presentation skills that enable you to engage confidently across the business.
