Senior Finance Analyst, Asia Engineering

The Tools & Outdoor division of SBD, which drives $13B of the total $16B business, is currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst - Asia Engineering, to join the Global Engineering and Technology Finance team supporting the Product Execution organization. This role is responsible for delivering advanced financial analysis, modeling, and decision support to the Engineering organization.

The Senior Finance Analyst – Asia Engineering will report directly to the Finance Director, ASIA Engineering.

In this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Evaluate financial potential of new programs (NPD, Productivity, GSC Initiatives, etc.) using financial models to analyze payback/returns and drive prioritization based on investments and current resource utilization.
  • Support Engineering rhythms by performing analysis and delivering insights specific to the Asia Design Center which helps ensure projects are delivered on time, on quality, and on budget.
  • Contribute to key financial processes including annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly business reviews, and strategic planning cycles.
  • Collaborate with Tools & Outdoor FP&A, Brand Finance, and GSC Finance to consolidate and analyze financial data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Support ad-hoc analytical requests and special projects with the Brand Team and Design Center Leader, delivering actionable recommendations.
  • Enhance transparency and efficiency of financial processes by developing new analytical tools and methodologies to improve ROI tracking and reporting.
  • Provide critical feedback during project and initiative planning, ensuring business cases are financially robust, strategically aligned, and based on accurate data.
  • Analyze SG&A (Development Costs) at the project level, focusing on resourcing and indirect spend.
  • Deliver insights on CAPEX investments (NPD Tooling, R&D, etc.) through rigorous financial analysis.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work effectively across functions.
  • 2-5 Years of Relevant Financial Experience & Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A Working Knowledge of ERPs, Financial Reporting Systems (BA&R, HFM) and PowerBI
