What you will do
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Installation and Service Technician. In this role, you will work in retail environments to install, service, and repair inventory control and video equipment.
How you will do it
Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain retail products and equipment—including CCTV, access control systems, and Sensormatic products.
Keep track of your service calls via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours, and parts utilized.
Maintain an accurate parts inventory at levels that ensure a first-time fix.
Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly.
Keep your manager in the loop about your customer's satisfaction, any potential sales opportunities, or any recurring problems.
Take care of other tasks as needed.
What we look for
Required
Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or technical military equivalent required.
Must have a valid driver’s license
3 years of prior work experience in a related field.
Completed basic Video training and certification
Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
General knowledge of electronics required.
Willing to obtain or have a Provincial License as required. (Provincial Dependent)
Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Must be capable of working independently or as a team
Working Knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
Excellent written and oral skills
Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents
Preferred
Certified in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced by Retail – preferred
Network Certification - Full competency in all required networking, advanced performance
