Senior Facilities Manager

What this job involves:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies aligned with organizational objectives Manage all facility-related operations including maintenance, security, cleaning, and building systems Lead and develop a team of facilities staff and coordinate with service providers

  • Create and oversee preventative maintenance programs to extend asset life and minimize downtime

  • Manage capital improvement projects from planning through completion

  • Develop and monitor facilities budgets, controlling costs while maintaining service standards

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for services and supplies Implement and monitor sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact

  • Respond to emergency situations and develop business continuity plans

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in facility management with 6 years in managerial level

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing teams Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance requirements, and operational best practices Knowledge of relevant regulations including health and safety standards

  • Experience with facilities management software and computerized maintenance management systems

  • Excellent project management, budgeting, and financial analysis skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold a PMP Tier 1 License Experience managing multiple properties or large complex facilities Knowledge of sustainability practices and green building operations

  • Experience with space planning and workplace strategy implementation Experience in manage and take up a new building is preferable
