[What the role is]
The IT/AV Executive is responsible for providing videography and photography services, including pre‑production and post‑production support, to meet operational and user requirements. The role also supports equipment loan helpdesk operations for students and staff, ensuring proper usage, tracking, and return of IT/AV equipment.
Key duties include maintaining IT/AV equipment and facilities, administering IT and AV infrastructure, and carrying out software and hardware maintenance, patching, and security support to ensure smooth daily operations. The role involves liaising with vendors, supporting purchase requirements, and managing IT/AV equipment procurement.
[What you will be working on]
- Perform videography and photography duties, including event coverage, studio shoots, and media recording as required.
- Provide pre‑production and post‑production support, including media setup, equipment configuration, editing support, and file management.
- Manage IT/AV equipment loan helpdesk operations for learners and staff, including issuance, tracking, and return of equipment.
- Maintain IT/AV equipment and facilities, ensuring proper upkeep, functionality, and readiness for use.
- Administer IT and AV infrastructure, including software and hardware maintenance, system patching, and resolving security‑related issues to support daily operations.
- Provide first‑line technical support to end‑users and escalate complex technical issues to higher‑level support teams, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
- Assist with operating system and application installation, configuration, and maintenance for IT and AV systems.
- Liaise with vendors on purchase requirements, quotations, and procurement of IT/AV equipment and accessories.
- Support ad‑hoc IT/AV and software application duties as assigned by SFM IT.
- Deliver professional customer service, maintaining a positive and service‑oriented approach when assisting learners and staff.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data protection, and operational best practices.
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant experience in IT and/or AV equipment operations and support.
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe applications, and common software tools.
- Basic understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with learners, staff, and team members.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and perform under pressure to meet operational deadlines.
