YOUR ROLE AS A: Senior Executive, Finance
The Group Finance Senior Executive is a core member of the Group Finance team, responsible for the monthly consolidation process, management reporting, and the administration of the Group’s financial systems. This role ensures the integrity of financial data across all entities including less active subsidiaries and provides critical support during the annual budget cycle and statutory audit. You will act as a key liaison for data compilation when dealing with external auditors and consultants on corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Group Consolidation & Management Reporting (MR)
Financial Consolidation: Execute the monthly consolidation process for Capital A Berhad, ensuring all intercompany balances are reconciled and eliminations are correctly recorded.
MR Preparation: Manage the monthly Management Report for the Capital A entity and coordinate the timely collection and consolidation of MR submissions from all global subsidiaries.
Entity Oversight: Monitor and maintain the financial records for less active and dormant entities, ensuring they meet Group reporting and compliance requirements.
COA Maintenance: Oversee the Chart of Accounts (COA) for the Group to ensure consistency in financial data across the organization.
2. System Management (Oracle FCCS)
Day-to-Day Administration: Manage the Oracle FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud) system to ensure smooth monthly closing cycles.
System Integrity: Troubleshoot data upload issues, manage user access/entities, and ensure that the consolidation logic remains accurate and aligned with Group requirements.
Template Optimization: Update and maintain reporting templates within the system to facilitate seamless data submission from various business units.
3. Audit & External Liaison
Annual Statutory Audit: Provide comprehensive support for the annual statutory audit, including the preparation of lead schedules, financial notes, and responding to auditor queries for the consolidated accounts.
Data Compilation for Corporate Plans: Lead the compilation, organization, and reconciliation of financial data required by external auditors and professional consultants for corporate plans and strategic initiatives.
Information Flow: Act as the primary administrative support for management when responding to queries from tax, legal, or financial advisors regarding Group structures and corporate actions.
4. Budgeting & Ad-hoc Assignments
Yearly Budget Exercise: Assist in the coordination and compilation of the annual budget for Capital A Berhad, ensuring data from all entities is collected and consolidated in a robust manner.
Variance Analysis: Perform periodic reporting and analyze variances by comparing actual results against budgets and prior-year performance.
Special Projects: Assist management with a wide range of ad-hoc financial assignments and internal deep-dives as required.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MICPA) is a significant advantage.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Group Reporting, Consolidation, or External Audit.
Technical Skills: * Hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS or similar consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion, OneStream) is highly preferred.
Solid understanding of consolidation accounting principles and MFRS/IFRS.
Advanced Excel skills for handling large datasets and complex consolidation workpapers.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational skills to manage the timelines of the statutory audit, yearly budget, and monthly close simultaneously.
High attention to detail, particularly when compiling data for external auditors/consultants.
