We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Equipment Reliability and Predictive Maintenance Engineer to lead reliability engineering efforts in our high-volume dishwasher manufacturing facility. This role is critical to driving operational excellence across a complex production environment that includes multiple assembly lines, fabrication systems, wire-forming machines, welding cells, presses, and a paint system.
The successful candidate will design and execute a comprehensive predictive maintenance program that leverages advanced technologies to proactively identify and mitigate equipment failures. This role will prioritize equipment based on historical performance and production risk and will lead a team of union maintenance technicians in implementing and sustaining the program.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Reliability Leadership

- Develop and lead a facility-wide predictive maintenance strategy focused on maximizing uptime, productivity, and equipment lifecycle performance.

- Prepare business cases and justifications for capital expenditures to expand the program.

- Analyze and recommend high-value areas for next-phase implementation.

- Collaborate with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering group to address inherent design flaws in new equipment and integrate predictive maintenance technologies into future designs.

Performance Optimization

- Improve key metrics such as MTTR, MTBF, and spare parts inventory efficiency.

- Use data-driven decision-making to prioritize and plan targeted maintenance activities.

Advanced Diagnostics & Technology Integration

- Apply tools such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, thermography, current monitoring, and temperature sensing to monitor equipment health and predict failures.

Data Tracking & Reporting

- Develop and maintain documentation including trend charts, condition summaries, risk assessments, and performance impact reports.

Team Development & Leadership

- Lead, coach, and develop a team of union maintenance technicians.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Safety, Quality, and Materials teams to align reliability initiatives with broader business goals.

Safety & Quality Advocacy

- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

- Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Additional Responsibilities

Powered Mobile Vehicle Fleet Management

- Oversee proactive maintenance and repair of powered material handling and personnel vehicles (e.g., forklifts, tuggers, personnel carriers).

- Manage prioritization, parts acquisition, shop flow, 5S, and budget.

Factory Asset Management

- Serve as the factory expert and administrator of the Cloudleaf asset management system.

- Collaborate with accounting to manage asset tagging, decommissioning, audits, and recovery of missing assets.

Rack and Cart Maintenance Management

- Coordinate maintenance of racks and carts used for storing and transporting manufactured components.

- Manage contractor coordination, logistics, and repair workflows.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

- 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering or predictive maintenance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

- Proven expertise in predictive maintenance technologies and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams in a unionized environment.

- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and drive change across teams.

- Proficiency with CMMS systems and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional certifications in vibration analysis, thermography, or other predictive maintenance disciplines.

- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics.
