Job Summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner based in our Ontario office as part of a team that provides integrated approaches to support infrastructure decisions, addressing environmental, social, and economic effects. We specialize in evaluating the impacts of transportation infrastructure projects, programs, and government policies. We are enthusiastic about our role in the environmental review process that allows informed public participation and enables decisionmakers to make a reasoned choice.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Prepare planning analyses and reports, including those associated with environmental review (e.g., NEPA, CEQA), Community Impact Assessments/Land Use Assessments, Equity Analysis, and Section 4(f) Analysis.

  • Collect and organize raw data, which may include research, interviews with government agencies, map reviews, field investigations

  • Prepare Regulatory Permit Applications (CDFW, USACE, RWQCB)

  • Support natural resources field work and assessment

  • Support public involvement activities

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in environmental planning or related field preferred

  • 5–10 years of experience in environmental planning or related field required

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Knowledge of Federal and California environmental policy, including environmental review, climate action, and Environmental Justice

  • Technical proficiency: MS Office – Word, Teams, Excel. ArcGIS and AutoCAD is a plus.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$85,000 - $130,000 annually for this position and local market.
