About the role
The Senior Environment Advisor is responsible for coordinating management of environmental aspects associated with the demolition and rehabilitation of or Liddell Power Station site and surrounding AGL Macquarie assets as they are retired. The role will support the Senior Environment Manager Transition and Construction in managing compliance with relevant project approvals and licenses.
This role will act as a key interface and specialist advisor relating to initiatives/challenges identified via the Project. You will work closely with the team of Environment Advisors to coordinate environmental management activities associated with the Hunter Transition Program.
Based at Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations, this is a 12-month Maximum Term opportunity

About You
With a thorough understanding of Local, State and Federal planning approvals and pathways and environmental legislation across Australia, you will possess a high level of business acumen and an awareness of the impacting priorities within a large, complex organisation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage with people at all levels will contribute to you developing quality relationships with regulatory authorities, Councils, consultants, and contractors.
Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, regulations and environmental management practice, you will have a strategic understanding of project management methodologies and be able to confidently provide advice and support on environmental aspects of projects and operations.
