WE'RE HIRING – EMEA Senior Engineering Manager

ABOUT US:

You'll join an entrepreneurial, inclusive culture. One where we succeed together – across the desk and around the globe. Where like-minded people work naturally together to achieve great things.

The Senior Engineering Manager is a key operational leadership role supporting JLL's client, Amazon Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF), within the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the EMEA Program Lead – Engineering, this role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of engineering service delivery across the entire EMEA region, delivering and supporting key IFM initiatives as well as ensuring business as usual consistency in processes. The role takes ownership for and supports improvement in operational IFM Program delivery activities to meet contractual obligations with respect to the EMEA property portfolio of the Client.

The Senior Engineering Manager directly line-manages Engineering Managers at a Geo level, providing strong people leadership, performance management, and oversight of engineering service delivery across EMEA to ensure that engineering service delivery standards are consistently met across the region, in alignment with the broader EMEA engineering program and GREF's requirements.

The role requires a strategic yet hands-on leader who combines deep technical engineering expertise with strong management capabilities, ensuring Geo Engineering Managers and their respective teams are delivering to the highest standards while maintaining compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across all EMEA geographies.

As a Senior Engineering Manager at JLL, you will be responsible for:

People Management & Team Leadership

  • Directly manage and develop Geo Engineering Managers across EMEA, providing clear direction, support, and accountability for performance.
  • Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and development conversations with direct reports, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of engineering management talent in partnership with HR and the EMEA Program Lead.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational and people-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Champion a positive team culture that reflects JLL's values and Amazon GREF's expectations for professionalism and service excellence.
  • Cascade program direction, strategic priorities, and key messages from the EMEA Program Lead – Engineering down to the operational management layer.

Engineering Operations & Service Delivery

  • Ensure engineering service delivery standards are consistently met across all EMEA geographies and sites, in line with JLL contractual obligations and GREF program requirements.
  • Provide regional operational oversight of engineering activities including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and asset management, through the Area Engineering Manager layer.
  • Monitor and manage compliance with all standard operating procedures, engineering programs, and GREF-mandated service delivery methodology across EMEA.
  • Support the delivery of MEP services across the region, ensuring Geo Engineering Managers have the guidance and resources required.
  • Verify that MEP standards are programmed and met across all EMEA site locations, identifying potential design or compliance impacts and escalating to the EMEA Program Lead where required.
  • Oversee the integrity and management of assets within Corrigo across all EMEA geographies, ensuring assets are current with applicable coding and PM programs meet equipment lifecycle requirements.
  • Partner with Geo Engineering Managers to identify and address operational challenges proactively, leveraging regional data trends to highlight potential systemic issues before they escalate.

IFM Program Management – Engineering

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Engineering across the EMEA portfolio
  • Develop Engineering and IFM programs and ensure implementation in adherence to contract requirements, KPIs, and client methodology.
  • Champion compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across all engineering programs.
  • Support Capex planning, Asset Life Cycle & Reliability programs, and capital project delivery.
  • Work in close coordination with the EMEA Program Lead – Engineering on program updates, reviews, and revisions.

Stakeholder Engagement & Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Amazon GREF site and regional teams.
  • Support relationships with the Client's Global Real Estate and Facilities leadership.
  • Support and collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders as required – including Facilities Management, Technical Management, Space & Occupancy, IT, Security, EHS, and strategic partners.
  • Lead the identification of value-add opportunities and collaborate with the EMEA Program Lead on future planning and initiatives.
  • Represent EMEA engineering operational performance in internal reporting, regional reviews, and client-facing communications, providing a consolidated view across all geographies.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental requirements across all sites.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve reporting standards, standard operating procedures, program methodology, and HR practices across the EMEA engineering management layer.
  • Implement EMEA-wide engineering standards and programs at the geographic level.
  • Support achievement of agreed IFM financial targets, identifying opportunities to optimise cost and improve value without compromising service delivery.

Requirements:
