Senior Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

Reno, NV; San Ramon, CA Full Time

Senior Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
Location: San Ramon, CA; Reno, NV

Are you passionate about building high-leverage platforms that enable teams to ship software safely and swiftly? Do you thrive at the intersection of reliability and velocity, balancing innovation with operational excellence? Are you eager to lead engineers who build scalable CI/CD systems, automate deployments, and engineer resilience into every release?
If so, we invite you to be a part of our innovative team.

As the Senior Engineering Manager for Site Reliability Engineering at Ridgeline, you will shape the delivery experience for our entire product organization. You’ll guide a team of engineers building automation frameworks, release tooling, and reliability safeguards that allow product teams to deploy confidently and frequently. From environment provisioning to canary rollouts, your leadership will establish best practices that scale alongside Ridgeline’s growing platform. You'll work closely with product, platform, and operations teams to ensure our infrastructure meets the evolving needs of the business. In this role, you’ll also leverage cutting-edge technologies—including AI tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT—to supercharge automation and streamline delivery across the board.

At Ridgeline, how we work matters as much as what we build. Ridgeliners act like owners, choose growth over comfort, and communicate with transparency. We assume positive intent, bias toward action, and bring solutions—not just problems. We celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and thrive in a resilient, collaborative, high-performing culture.
If this excites you, we’d love to meet you.

You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

The impact you will have:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on delivery, automation, and reliability tooling

  • Build and evolve CI/CD systems, deployment orchestration frameworks, and infrastructure automation platforms

  • Automate release verification, rollback mechanisms, and system health checks to improve delivery quality

  • Collaborate with Engineering Operations on telemetry, observability, and operational readiness initiatives

  • Foster a culture of ownership, resilience, and engineering excellence within and beyond the SRE team

What we look for:

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or reliability engineering, including 3–6 years managing high-performing teams

  • Proven track record building CI/CD systems and deployment frameworks using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker
