Position Overview

The Personalized Experiences Team is a centralized Personalization group working closely with product line development teams across the company to democratize ML/Analytics across all Autodesk products. We are on a mission to build a centralized Personalization platform that powers insights, recommendations, proactivity across all Autodesk products. You will be working on a myriad of problems related to building data products that provides ML/prescriptive recommendations to Autodesk Users. We are looking for a technically savvy Engineering manager with a passion for building scalable services and who is eager to help us bring platform thinking in day-to-day product engineering practices. We are seeking individuals who are attracted by complicated problems, who can think creatively and work hard to help us solve them.  
 

This role sits at the intersection of distributed systems, data platforms, and emerging agentic AI technologies. You will lead development of systems that not only analyze data streams but also reason, synthesize, and are used for powering intelligent assistants and workflows embedded directly within Autodesk products. 

Responsibilities

  • You'll hire, challenge and retain a diverse, inclusive and highly effective team of engineers 

  • You'll drive the vision and roadmap of Personalization Platform to speed up adoption of the Personalized Experiences across the portfolio of all Autodesk products 

  • You'll partner closely with Applied AI, Product & other Platform teams 

  • You'll ensure your team ships services constantly at a high quality 

  • You'll participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy 

  • You'll drive and maintain a culture of quality, innovation and experimentation   

  • You’ll work with product managers on defining strategic directions, and with technical program managers on executing high-impact initiatives 

  • You’ll work with stakeholders to define and track project milestones and communicate progress to all relevant parties 

  • Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes 

Minimum Qualification

  • 4+ years of technical leadership or management experience in software engineering 

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in software engineering and data analytics fields 

  • Experience in building scalable data processing applications, infrastructure and production services 

  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment 

  • Experience in cloud-based technologies and platforms 

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching technical leads, software and data engineers 

  • Experience in scaling and re-architecting data platforms and infrastructure through orders of magnitude of growth 

  • Experience with SQL & No-SQL database technologies like MySQL, RedShift, MongoDB or similar 

  • Experience working with big data environments such as Athena, BigQuery, Snowflake, Hadoop (Hive, Spark)  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Understanding of LLMs and agentic workflows 

  • Experience or interest in integrating AI into real-time systems 

  • Ability to build production-grade AI/recommendation systems

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $156,000 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
