Role Description
Our Investments agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability has priority together with time to market.
By working in an Agile DevOps model, acting a pilot for Investments and actively improving the model, we achieve very high quality while continuously delivering value to our clients. Located in Germany and India, we work closely together using agile and virtual collaboration techniques and our team’s diversity to reach our goals of continuous deployment, process improvement and internalizing engineering know how.
As a Lead Engineer you will also work together with business and operation units and bring leadership and development skills to enforce the development team within a Squad. You will extensively make use and apply Continuous Integration strategies in the context of Deutsche Bank’s digitalization journey.

Your key responsibilities
You are a key stakeholder for the whole Software Development Lifecycle responsible for analyzing and understanding the business, functional and non-functional requirements, designing, architecting and documenting high quality solutions together with the architecture team, developing, deploying and testing the software as well as ensuring proper documentation .
Your primary focus will be on the software design and development, establishing the base for the developers (including coding) and acting as key contact for all technical topics.
You are one of the leaders in the sprint ceremonies who leads the development team to achieve the Sprint and long-term objectives.
You are responsible for the overall picture from a technical point of view, balancing between short-term and long-term needs.
Your skills and experience
At least 14 years’ experience in designing software solutions and development with hands-on experience in Java (amongst others Spring Framework and Spring Boot) and/or frontend development (JavaScript/React) and database technologies (Oracle/Postgres)
Strong experience , in Microservices oriented Architecture, Microservices Patterns,, designing API REST Interfaces, working with database technologies, building and integrating services including REST, , SOAPas well as asynchronous services using message driven integration patterns and data structures like JSON and XML.Pro-active team player with excellent communication and English language skills, with experience in leadership of agile (SCRUM) and working in development teams
Strong experience with distributed applications and container packaging and orchestration platforms OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker; hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform will be a plus.
Strong practical and applied knowledge in Test Driven Development, Unit Testing and/or Integration Testing
Ability to technically drive and support the development team, by communicating and evincing architectural decisions, establishing, and defining technical standards and guidelines, brainstorming and grooming technical solutions together with the development team, supporting the development team on technical impediments.
Experience and knowledge of investment business and its operations
