Job Description

As a Senior Software Test Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to design and develop one of industry-leading Rockwell Automation products - FactoryTalk® Linx which is the most modern, secure, best performing, and preferred communications platform for Integrated Architecture. Our premier communication platform software provides one access point to your data, allowing both FactoryTalk and third-party software shared access to control equipment.

The engineering team in Katowice Campus works as a part of Rockwell's Comms SW program, performed by several dependent engineering teams located in Katowice, US and China. All teams are following Scrum process in synchronization with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) applied for entire program.

Rockwell Automation software team builds applications using modern tools like GitLab code repository, Jira for work items and defects tracking and latest Continuous Integration / Continuous Development solutions based on Jenkins and VMware.

You will report to the Manager located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

• Guide multi-level software testing activities, including test design, planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Be an senior contributor in subsystem design, implementation, and end‑to‑end quality validation.
• Participate across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Ensure delivered products meet defined requirements and total quality management standards
• Collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams to support delivery.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in testing of commercial or open source software
• Required programming languages: Python, JavaScript, NodeJS (REST API) for Windows
• Understanding of GUI tests
• Deliver high-quality code, and passionate about code quality
• Implement automated tests and software testing methodologies
• Agile software development using Scrum
• Communicative English that enables collaboration with global team

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Direct experience with the Industrial Automation Industry
• Experience architecting modular software·
• Experience with scaling and performance tools
• Experience with automated test tools·
• Experience testing integrated software products·
• Experience in collaboratin with local and global technical development teams
