Senior Engineer – Optical Fiber Manufacturing and Processes

As a Senior Engineer supporting Optical fiber manufacturing and processes within Research & Development, you will be trusted to work on the Research & Development of products that help revolutionize the eye care industry, advance optimal patient outcomes, and help people see brilliantly.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Supporting the installation and commissioning of advanced optical fiber production facility. Partnering with contractors and vendors to support the customization and procurement of equipment.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of next‑generation optical fiber technologies and production processes.
• Recommending and applying effective engineering solutions independently, ensuring efficiency and innovation in operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in fiber optic technologies, including fabrication methods and precision termination techniques.
• Practical experience with chemical processes and laboratory operations.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of CAD software for design and engineering applications.
