The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead manufacturing test system support with a primary focus on yield improvement and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include leading NCR investigations, acting as SME during audits, driving compliance with manufacturing requirements, maximizing equipment uptime, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to sustain high yield and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Resolve production yield issues through root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous monitoring.
  • Analyze and interpret test data using statistical tools and present findings in technical reports for management.
  • Identify PCBA and electronic component failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead NCR investigations and address complex manufacturing and compliance issues related to test systems.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians on manufacturing constraints and test system downtime recovery.
  • Act as SME during audits, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test equipment and processes to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Draft and review test system documentation (e.g., equipment designs, manuals, work instructions, BOM, change plans, FMEA, risk assessments) in line with organizational change management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (NPI, R&D, IT, Firmware, Production) to resolve manufacturing challenges and enhance test system deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in manufacturing test system design and architecture, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, system implementation and validation, manufacturing support and yield improvement, as well as non-conformance investigation and resolution.
  • Proficiency in software programming and scripting languages such as NI LabVIEW, Python, or C++ (mandatory).
  • Experience in data analysis, PCB design and schematic interpretation.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in acoustics or Radio Frequency (RF) is an advantage.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in industrial electronics with expertise in automation control, process improvement, and failure analysis.
  • Candidates with experience in Medical Device manufacturing will have an added advantage.

Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
