Senior Embedded Software Developer

We are seeking experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineers to design and develop firmware with innovative technology for Hearing Aids to help people with hearing loss all over the world.

You will work with highly skilled embedded SW developers. They specialize in different areas in developing hearing aids platforms. You could be one of them. Those areas include but not limit to Low level HW drivers, middleware to enable modules to work together seamlessly, RTOS, security, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), LE audio, applications towards signal processing, mobile apps and fitting software. The Team you will be part of:

You will join the Operating System department which is part of the GN Hearing Platform development. It is an international, cross-functional product organization. We create innovative products together in agile scrum teams within SAFe.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Participate in the full lifecycle of platform/product development from requirement, design, implementation and testing to documentation, releasing and sustaining.   

  • Profile and optimize performance, memory usage, power consumption, stability, and reliability for real-time systems.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to bring up new hardware and integrate software seamlessly.

  • Ensure high standards of code quality, safety and performance in medical-grade. 

  • Drive and shape architectural decisions for our hearing aid operating system and platform components.

  • Manage complex features from idea to deployment in either concept or product epics.

  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical direction and best practices. 

 

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:

  • University degree in computer science, electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

  • Experience in embedded software development with real-time operating systems.

  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and skilled at resolving issues

  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD.  

  • Understanding medical devices and hearing aid development.

  • Ownership mindset and ability to see topics through to completion.

  • Ability to manage own tasks and deliver results.

  • Curiosity and interest in staying up to date with embedded, AI and Bluetooth technologies.

  • Motivation to grow the team through feedback and experiments with ways of working.

  • Collaborative, structured way of working with good communication skills in English.
