We are currently looking for a Senior Embedded Developer (m/f/d) to join our team at our Berlin Reinickendorf location as soon as possible.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Linux Maintenance: Maintain Yocto-based Linux distributions for ARM platforms.

  • Secure Boot: Manage the implementation of secure boot mechanisms and encrypted storage solutions.

  • Device Security: Apply best practices for embedded device security, including hardening, key management, and secure updates.

  • Digital Signing: Oversee digital signing processes for OS images and application containers.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to IEC 62443 and other relevant security standards.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with appliance and application teams to ensure integration and compliance with security requirements.

  • Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize low-level system components for performance and reliability.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in C/C++, Python, shell scripting and Linux system internals.

  • Embedded Linux Expertise: Strong experience in embedded Linux development, particularly with Yocto.

  • ARM Architecture: Deep knowledge of ARM architecture and BSP customization.

  • Security Implementation: Hands-on experience with secure boot, storage encryption, digital signing and embedded security standards (IEC 62443 is a plus).

  • Modern Technologies: Familiarity with containerization (Docker), microservices, and application lifecycle management.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration

  • Languages: Fluent in English; good command of German is a plus.
