Are you looking for a career in electronics where you can showcase your technical aptitude and problem-solving skills? We are looking for a meticulous Senior Electronics Technician to conduct testing, preventative and corrective maintenance, and perform advanced electronic work to maintain the integrity of existing electronic systems. The Senior Electronic Technician provides predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on advanced electronic systems throughout Maricopa County including Adult and Juvenile detention facilities, which includes lead responsibilities.

As the landlord for all facilities owned by Maricopa County, the Facilities Management Department is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations of more than 200 facilities comprised of over 10 million square feet. Facilities Management is made up of a collaborative team that provides and performs various functions to meet the facility-related needs of all Maricopa County Departments. Our broad range of services includes various aspects of the ongoing operations and maintenance of all County-owned facilities, management of all facility projects, and in-house design services.

We Require
Three years of journey-level experience around electronic systems for installation and preventative maintenance
High school diploma or GED
Post-secondary education in Electronics or a closely related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Other Requirements
Complete a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) background investigation to access County detention facilities
Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona Driver's license by the time of hire

Job Contributions
Facilitates and corrects all repairs associated with a specific work order, including routine and/or emergency repairs, operating computers, and mobile devices, for time management, inventory, work assignments, and other related functions.
Repairs and maintains computerized programmable/addressable video/intercom systems touch screen computer-controlled egress/video/communication systems and maintains digital video recorders and touch screen monitoring systems including all controlled devices for elevators, doors, lighting, water controls, and cable televisions.
Repairs and maintains programmable logic controllers, defective CPUs, and various interface devices.
Performs advanced hardware programming for various security and control systems and all associated devices.
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs biometric scanning technology, including but not limited to fingerprint and iris recognition systems, and possess a comprehensive knowledge of all associated diagnostic equipment for testing and maintenance purposes.
Maintains and repairs leak detection systems, video surveillance systems such as pan-tilt-zoom and vari-focal cameras, video conferencing and video visitation equipment, emergency All-Call network technology, medical call systems, etc.
Repairs and maintains audio systems, cable systems, building communication systems, card access systems, door controls, building security alarms, audio/video security systems (CCTV), microwave perimeter alarms, and personal protective systems.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all related signal transmission components such as cabling, fiber optics, micro switches, wireless technology, and associated wiring and maintenance of electronic controls for rolling gates, and large swing hinged doors.
Other Job Duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Exerting 20-25 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
The work will occur in an office and field environment.
While performing the duties & responsibilities the employee maybe exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations.
Position is subject to atmospheric conditions: Fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

Single and platform scissor lifts, boom lifts, safety harness
List of tools supplied by Maricopa County will be provided upon request at interview
Ladder work (ie. Step ladders 4’ to 16’ and extension ladders to 24’)
Bosch, Genetec Valerus, Digital Watchdog, Indusoft, Harding
Protective Equipment Required
All PPE and safety equipment to be Provided by Maricopa County
