Your role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Instrumentation and Control Systems) you'll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the Qld Industrial Business. Collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll explore integrated solutions, offer thoughtful perspectives, and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.

What you’ll be doing

This role is based in Gladstone, participating in the delivery of key projects with several of our local and national clients and provide specialist instrumentation and control system technical expertise.  Guidance and supervision of junior staff and working with other professional and technical staff to ensure successful delivery of projects within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instrumentation, control and communication system technical project lead.
  • Work with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver complete multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Manage, mentor and supervise junior engineers.
  • Monitor project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and assist in successfully driving opportunities to successful outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support best-practice standards.

What you’ll bring

You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking. You're someone who thrives in dynamic environments, builds meaningful connections, and is motivated by purposeful work.

  • RPEQ in Electrical or ITEE with a minimum of 10 years experience.
  • Extensive experience in instrumentation, control and communications systems with the proven ability to apply this technical knowledge to achieve project outcomes;
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects in alignment with client policies, standards, and specifications.

The following is not mandatory but is highly desirable:

  • Hazardous Area certification
  • Functional or machine safety certification
  • Low Voltage design experience
  • Cyber-security or project management
