Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation
Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and schedules for power, lighting, emergency, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Ensure design deliverables meet international standards and project specifications.
Oversee BIM modelling and documentation tasks, supporting accurate and coordinated outputs in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
Coordination
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural, BIM) across different offices and time zones.
Participate in design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with global counterparts.
Support Principal Engineers in client and consultant coordination by providing technical inputs.
Mentorship & Support
Provide guidance and review support for junior engineers and BIM modellers.
Share knowledge of design standards, best practices, and international codes within the team.
Assist in implementing QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Contribution to Innovation
Promote sustainable design practices and adoption of smart building technologies where applicable.
Suggest improvements to workflows, tools, and processes for efficiency and quality.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in electrical building services design.
Demonstrated ability to handle design packages independently within consultancy or engineering projects.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary and international teams.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD; capable of supporting and reviewing BIM outputs.
Strong understanding of electrical system design principles (power, lighting, emergency, grounding, low-voltage).
Familiarity with ETAP, Dialux, or similar electrical design software.
Knowledge of international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, NEC, etc.).
Soft Skills
Good leadership potential with mentoring experience.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Desirable but not required
Prior experience in international projects or exposure to global design standards.
Knowledge of green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, Green Mark).
Willingness to develop toward a Principal/Lead Engineer track.
