Senior Discipline Engineer - Software Requirements

Responsibilities

•Continuously tracks for areas of improvement

•Defines measures and ensures implementation in his/her area of responsibility

•Responsible to establish and align the SwFL1 activities planning between the affected stakeholders

•Overall Software Requirements & Architecture Lead (Overall SW REQ/ARCH Lead): In case, there are more than one Software Requirements & Architecture Lead (i.e. lead per Software Element), the project has to assign Overall Software Requirements & Architecture Lead in order to co-ordinate and synchronize the requirements and architecture strategies between the Software Requirements & Architecture Leads of each element

•The Overall Software Architect has to ensure the definition of the overall Sw architecture matching the Sw requirements

•Supports the SwArchLead by defining the overall architecture details and providing a consistent solution Defines the different SwE(s) within the overall Sw architecture

•He/she synchronizes between the Software Architects of the different Software Elements

•He/she may be supported by the responsible Sw architects to define the interfaces between the different SwE(s)

Skills

•Contribute in the creation of Software Baseline Strategy (for relevant Software artifacts)

•Align with other P2 contributors for Software

•Plan/Deliverables/Outputs definition

•Contribute in the definition of the relevant topics of his/her area in SDP & RMP

•Contribute to the Configuration Management Plan (Baselining Strategy, Config Management Items)

•Ensure that working environment and tools of his/her team are set up correctly and aligned with the project, ensure tool qualification

•Clarify together with the Software Element SwTPM any non-conformances and issues that can’t be resolved within his area of responsibility

•Cooperate with all Lead functions as well as the Process Engineer to work on continuous process improvement activities

•[Safety Relevant Projects] Consider functional Safety needs in the definition of the respective strategies of the process area under his responsibility [Planning] Establish L4 Software Requirements and Architecture Scheduling in the scope of his responsibility

•Plan, Perform, follow-up on open findings and drives reviews of Software Requirements & Architecture engineering work products until approval

•Assure assignment and scheduling of needed resources [Metrics/Tracking/Alignments/Compliance]

•Consolidate the status of the different Software Features and report it to Software Element SwTPM

•Establish the reporting interface & escalation mechanism with the Software Element SwTPM (i.e. reporting frequency, template used, storage and reflecting the mechanism in RMP)

•Ensure process compliance and align to métier standards

•Check review records and Match them to Clean/Smart milestone

•Check Respective Software DR completion - in alignment with Review Process

•Ensure process adherence and product results of Software Requirements & Architecture areas; delivers Software Requirements & Architecture Engineering deliverables at the expected quality and ensures green reviews at the respective Sw Factory check point

•Ensure that peer review is carried out - in alignment with Review Process

•Tracking Software Requirements & Architecture progress/status (Metrics Evaluation as defined in REI & ADI, Maturity level, Ticket count. etc.) and reporting to Software Element SwTPM

•Generation and archiving Software Requirements Allocation matrix [SwRAMx] [Engineering Activities]

•Plans and performs the complete set of iteration baseline of the engineering work products according to Software CCB

•Realize the Sw external interfaces

•Define, detail and maintain Sw interfaces between SwE of the Sw architecture and documents this in the [SwA]
