Senior Director, Strategy & Operations

Job Description Summary:

This highly visible and unique position is a key member of the Enterprise Services (“ES”) Strategy & Operations team (S&O). The Senior Director of Strategy & Operations is responsible for maintaining an end-to-end view of the Enterprise Services portfolio of operations, including people, services, projects status, budgets and leadership routines.  This position requires the ability to forge strong business partnerships for business planning, program / portfolio management, and to support implementation of key leadership initiatives. The role is focused on three areas as follows:

  • 20% - Steward end-to-end business insights on the ES portfolio of operations

  • 30% - Orchestrate ES planning and performance management

  • 50% - Provide disciplined delivery and decision support for key ES initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Business Insights:

    • Stay current with external / peer company benchmarks for Global Business Services.

    • Structure and maintain detailed reference materials on the Enterprise Services portfolio of operations, including objectives, people, services portfolio, office locations, projects status, risks, and budgets. 

  • Planning and Performance Management:

    • Lead ES operational planning through program management, objectives, and status of key initiatives.

    • Proactively identify savings and return on investment opportunities across the portfolio.

    • Lead operational analytics and effectively communicate insights to executive level audiences.

  • Disciplined Delivery of Key Initiatives:

    • Support ES teams in driving disciplined delivery of key initiatives that surface as priorities on the ES Action Log.

    • Clearly communicate where leadership support is required to accelerate success or address obstacles to resolution. 

    • Demonstrate curiosity and learning agility for quickly understanding the key drivers for the success of global cross-functional initiatives.

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field

  • Preferred: MBA, Masters in business or finance, and / or professional certification such as CFA or CPA


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility in financial analysis and program management.

  • Superior financial analysis skills are required, with proven ability to transform unstructured data sets to analytics and executive level insights.  Candidate should possess extremely strong proficiency in analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel with the ability to tailor reports to meet the specific needs of end users.

  • Ability to work in a self-directed, agile manner and establish versions 1.0, 2.0, etc.  Effectively balance competing priorities based on the highest priorities of the enterprise.

  • Experience working internationally (though not necessarily living overseas) is preferred, as this position has to deal daily with stakeholders around the world. 

  • Curiosity with a high level of learning agility are critical, as well as understanding any given initiative’s upstream and downstream interdependencies.

  • As this is a highly visible position the candidate must have strong communication skills and prepare meaningful, insightful, and actionable presentations and recommendations to management to aid in decision making.

  • Strategic thinking to be able to see the big picture from a business perspective yet have the tools and experience to drill down and perform detailed analysis as needed.

United States of America: $195,500 - $226,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
