The Senior Director, Retail Enablement and Operations leads the team that is responsible for creating the conditions for our stores and teams to deliver their best possible outcomes through operational and omni-channel excellence across all Levi’s stores in the U.S. and Canada. This role leads end-to-end store operations strategy, field enablement, and operational excellence in service to the Retail and Brand Strategy.
Reporting into the Vice President, US Retail, US & Canada Operations & Real Estate, this leader serves as the central operational voice for the retail organization - connecting stores with HQ functions, driving smooth processes, and building the operating model that enables our next phase of growth.
This leader will continuously improve retail operations and field effectiveness, and build the structure, talent, and tools required to support a business expected to significantly scale.
This role and their team partners closely with the Global Retail Center of Excellence to identify opportunities, build, and refine global processes, policies and expectations.
What You’ll Own
Enterprise Retail Operations Strategy
- Define and lead the operating strategy for all retail stores across the region
- Translate business goals into scalable operational frameworks that support growth
- Represent retail operations in leadership forums, acting as a senior proxy for retail leadership when needed
Field Effectiveness & Store Experience
- Improve how stores operate day-to-day by simplifying processes, removing friction, and enhancing clarity
- Lead future-focused operational initiatives (e.g., evolution of fitting room experience, store workflows, service models)
- Ensure operational decisions consistently elevate both team and customer experience
Retail Operations Transformation
- Overhaul and modernize the Retail Operations function, including org design, roles, and ways of working
Cross-Functional Integration
- Serve as the primary operational partner to IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Risk, and other enterprise functions
- Align global and regional SOPs to drive consistency while allowing for market nuance
- Ensure retail priorities are clearly represented and supported across the organization
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and evolve the in-store technology ecosystem to improve usability and effectiveness for field teams
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in store operations
- Lead pilots and scaled rollouts of new tools, processes, and operational models
Team & Talent Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing Retail Operations team, building future leaders and strengthening functional capability
- Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and forward thinking
- Ensure the team operates both strategically and with strong day-to-day execution discipline

Who You Are
- A senior operations leader with experience leading large, multi-unit field organizations (retail, hospitality, restaurants, or similar environments)
- Equally comfortable setting long-term strategy and diving into day-to-day operational realities
- A strong cross-functional operator who knows how to influence without direct authority
- Highly accountable, confident, and able to represent the business at senior leadership levels
- Known for building strong teams, developing talent, and creating followership
- Naturally collaborative, empathetic, and skilled at navigating complex organizations
- Curious and forward-thinking, always looking for better ways to operate
Experience & Background
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in field or retail operations
- Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed teams
- Track record of leading operational transformation or organizational redesign
- Strong understanding of how technology, process, and people intersect in frontline environments
- Retail experience is valued but not required; other multi-unit, service-driven industries are highly relevant
“This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.”
The expected starting salary range for this role is $250,000 - $275,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
