The Senior Director of Regional Data Center Facility Operations oversee daily operations of data center facilities and critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, fire protection, and access systems, ensuring high availability and compliance with operational standards. Lead and develop facility teams through hiring, mentoring, training, and performance management while maintaining operational policies, procedures, and service level commitments.
Partner with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support implementations, build-outs, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring successful project delivery and exceptional customer experience. Manage environmental monitoring, capacity planning, security oversight, asset tracking, and incident resolution while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational reporting.
Responsibilities:
Partner with internal teams, vendors, and customers to support implementations, build-outs, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring successful project delivery and exceptional customer experience.
Manage environmental monitoring, capacity planning, security oversight, asset tracking, and incident resolution while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational reporting.
The role requires extensive experience managing multiple and hyperscale data center environments, leading large operational teams, and supporting the full facility lifecycle from build-out to ongoing operations.
Candidates should bring strong budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L management experience, including oversight of large-scale capital projects ranging from $75M–$100M and managing portfolios exceeding $300M.
Experience building and leading maintenance teams, performing self-managed facility operations, and managing complex relationships with large enterprise or hyperscale customers is essential.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience managing mission-critical facilities and operations in data center environments, including multiple hyperscale facilities
Strong leadership experience supervising, mentoring, building and developing operational teams
Extensive experience leading operations in high-availability environments, ensuring uptime and operational resilience
Proven ability to build, mentor, and train teams, develop leadership pipelines, and drive operational excellence
Strong people management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and team development
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale enterprise and hyperscale customers with complex operational requirements
Hands-on operational background including self-performed maintenance and field-level troubleshooting, combined with strategic leadership
Experienced in developing operational procedures, documentation, and training programs to standardize best practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking capabilities, able to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
Demonstrated customer-first mindset, taking ownership of service delivery, issue resolution, and long-term customer satisfaction
Proactive in identifying operational risks, communicating potential issues, and driving timely mitigation and resolution
Strong business ownership mindset, focused on operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Proven ability to identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining service quality and reliability
Extensive financial management experience, including budgeting, profit & loss ownership, budget analysis, and financial planning
Managed large capital infrastructure projects with budgets ranging from $75M–$100M, with cumulative portfolio oversight exceeding $300M+ in total project value
Experience overseeing the full lifecycle of data center infrastructure projects, from planning and budgeting through execution and operational handoff
Demonstrates professionalism and strong stakeholder management when working with vendors, contractors, customers, and cross-functional teams
Leads by example to build a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven operational culture
Encourages continuous improvement, open feedback, and ongoing team development to strengthen operational performance
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field (equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree)

Salary Range:
$220,000 - $235,000 plus bonus
