The Senior Director, PSS Operations – Non-Alliance Immunology will report into the Head, Patient Support Services – Non-Alliance Immunology, Neurology, and Rheumatology and is a key member of their leadership team. This Senior Director is responsible for the overall strategic vision, operational excellence, and performance of the Non-Alliance Immunology Patient Services operations, with a distinct focus on supporting Sanofi's wholly owned assets in contrast to alliance brand partnerships. This leader will own the strategic and operational direction for patient support programs across the Non-Alliance Immunology portfolio, ensuring programs are tailored to the unique needs of non-alliance brands while maintaining alignment with enterprise standards.

This Senior Director will serve as a senior strategic partner to brand, commercial, hub, and field leadership, while partnering closely with Centers of Excellence (CoE) teams to ensure an enterprise approach is applied across all aspects of the program where appropriate, including financial assistance, copay programs, market research, analytics, and vendor management. This leader will play a critical role in shaping the long-term strategic direction of Non-Alliance Immunology PSS, leading product launch readiness for non-alliance assets, implementing innovative tools and technologies, building and scaling high-performing teams, and driving organizational transformation across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision – Non-Alliance Immunology Focus

  • Sets the long-term strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for Non-Alliance Immunology PSS operations, ensuring programs are designed and optimized specifically for Sanofi's wholly-owned assets, distinct from alliance brand support models

  • Serves as a senior thought leader and strategic advisor to the Head of PSS and franchise leadership on Non-Alliance Immunology patient services strategy, market dynamics, and competitive positioning

  • Serves as the executive operational lead for Non-Alliance Immunology product launches, including pre-launch planning, launch execution, and post-launch optimization

  • Partners with Centers of Excellence teams leverage enterprise capabilities, best practices, and shared services while ensuring Non-Alliance Immunology programs maintain the flexibility and customization required for wholly-owned brands

  • Drives enterprise-level transformation initiatives to implement innovative tools, technologies, and digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency, patient experience, and program performance for Non-Alliance Immunology assets

  • Leads organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy, including building and scaling teams in anticipation of non-alliance product launches and portfolio expansion

  • Influences and shapes enterprise-wide PSS strategy by contributing insights, best practices, and strategic recommendations from the Non-Alliance Immunology portfolio to the broader PSS organization

Operational Excellence & Program Management – Enterprise Partnership Approach

  • Accountable for end-to-end operational performance across the Non-Alliance Immunology PSS portfolio, including strategic design, execution, and delivery of best-in-class service programs for Neurology and Rheumatology wholly-owned assets

  • Partners with Centers of Excellence teams to ensure an enterprise approach is applied across financial assistance programs, copay solutions, market research, marketing initiatives, analytics, and reporting—while tailoring execution to Non-Alliance Immunology brand needs

  • Provides executive-level leadership, oversight, and governance for the effective functioning of Sanofi Non-Alliance Immunology patient services by establishing and monitoring program goals, key performance indicators, and operational metrics across PSS roles

  • Manages a complex, multi-million-dollar budget across multiple projects, programs, and product launches within remit, ensuring fiscal responsibility, optimal resource allocation, and ROI accountability for non-alliance assets

  • Provides strategic direction and executive oversight to leaders of case management teams, ensuring reimbursement support specialists and case managers are aligned to Non-Alliance Immunology strategic imperatives and deliver swift and compassionate access to prescribed treatments

  • Leads and governs vendor strategy across multiple vendor partners in close collaboration with Centers of Excellence teams, ensuring delivery on contracted service level agreements while maintaining Non-Alliance Immunology program integrity

Launch Leadership & Team Building – Non-Alliance Asset Focus

  • Serves as the senior executive sponsor and operational leader for Non-Alliance Immunology product launches, orchestrating cross-functional readiness activities, operational infrastructure, and team deployment for wholly-owned assets

  • Develops and owns the comprehensive launch operations strategy, partnering with Centers of Excellence teams to leverage enterprise launch capabilities, tools, and best practices while ensuring launch plans are customized to the unique requirements of non-alliance brands

  • Leads the enterprise-level assessment, selection, and implementation of tools and technologies to support launch readiness, including CRM systems, patient engagement platforms, data analytics tools, and workflow automation—coordinating with CoE teams to ensure enterprise alignment where appropriate

  • Builds, develops, and scales a high-performing organization in advance of non-alliance product launches, including organizational design, recruitment strategy, onboarding, training, and integration into the broader PSS structure

  • Establishes executive-level launch governance, including launch-specific KPIs, operational playbooks, risk mitigation frameworks, and escalation protocols to ensure seamless execution and rapid optimization for Non-Alliance Immunology assets

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement – Enterprise Collaboration

  • Defines and owns the performance management framework including program critical success factors, KPIs, SOPs, process flows, and executive-level reporting to senior leadership committees, partnering with Centers of Excellence teams on analytics, insights, and enterprise reporting standards

  • Leads the strategic direction of Non-Alliance Immunology PSS brand planning, execution, and implementation with collaboration across expanded PSS teams, Centers of Excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Champions a data-driven culture, utilizing advanced data analytics, insights, and feedback—in partnership with CoE analytics teams—to continuously assess Non-Alliance Immunology patient services performance and drives best practice sharing across PSS for enterprise-wide replication

  • Proactively shapes the competitive strategy by monitoring the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends to identify needs for new programs, enhancements to current programs, or strategic pivots specific to non-alliance brand positioning

  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence teams to identify opportunities for enterprise-wide program enhancements that can be adapted for Non-Alliance Immunology needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Operates as a senior leader across the organization, collaborating with field access, field education, commercial, medical, and market access leaders to ensure a seamless and supportive experience across the Non-Alliance Immunology disease state and product treatment continuum

  • Partners with Centers of Excellence teams across all functional areas to ensure Non-Alliance Immunology programs benefit from enterprise capabilities while maintaining the agility and customization required for wholly-owned brands

  • Represents Non-Alliance Immunology PSS operations in executive forums, senior leadership teams, and strategic planning sessions, advocating for the unique needs of non-alliance assets and influencing enterprise-level decisions

  • Engages directly with senior and executive-level stakeholders, including franchise leadership and C-suite, to align on strategic priorities and secure organizational support for Non-Alliance Immunology initiatives

  • Owns the end-to-end patient services journey from acquisition to retention across the Non-Alliance Immunology franchises, ensuring differentiation from alliance brand support models

  • Assesses, plans, recommends, and executes enterprise-level strategies addressing patient-level barriers to product access for non-alliance assets

Compliance, Risk Management & Governance

  • Ensures full compliance with all corporate and industry policies, regulatory requirements, and legal parameters for Non-Alliance Immunology patient support programs

  • Partners with Centers of Excellence teams on compliance, legal, and regulatory matters to ensure enterprise standards are applied while addressing unique non-alliance brand requirements

  • Establishes and oversees governance frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and escalation protocols for complex operational and launch activities specific to Non-Alliance Immunology assets

  • Serves as a senior subject matter expert on legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations for non-alliance patient support programs

Leadership Development & Organizational Culture

  • Develops and mentors a team of directors, managers, and individual contributors, providing coaching, mentorship, career development, and succession planning

  • Builds and shapes the organizational culture of the Non-Alliance Immunology PSS team, fostering innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centricity

About You

Requirements:

Experience & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory parameters related to patient support programs within the pharma industry

  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/specialty pharmacy experience with demonstrated budget management and P&L responsibilities

  • Second-line leadership experience required; proven track record of managing managers, building organizations, and leading large, complex teams through growth and transformation

  • Proven track record in product launch leadership at a senior level, including pre-launch planning, operational readiness, and post-launch optimization, preferably for wholly-owned or non-alliance assets

  • Experience leading organizational transformation, including building teams from the ground up, implementing new tools and technologies, and driving change management

  • Experience partnering with Centers of Excellence or shared services teams to leverage enterprise capabilities while maintaining brand-specific program integrity

  • Experience implementing tools, technologies, and digital solutions to enhance operational performance and patient experience

  • Immunology therapeutic area experience strongly preferred

The salary range for this position is:

$206,250.00 - $297,916.66
