Senior Director, Product Operations

As the Senior Director of Product Operations, you will design and transform the end-to-end processes that connect Product Management, Engineering, User Experience, Solution Analysts, Product Partnerships, Marketing, and Solution Consulting. Your work will power a division driving over $400M in revenue across 30+ products. You’ll architect and lead operational frameworks that make every product launch a coordinated success—anchored by a clear, compelling theme and real market impact.

You’ll report directly to the VP of Strategy & Product Excellence and work hand-in-hand with VP and SVP leaders across all key functions. In this high-visibility, hands-on role, you’ll ensure roles and processes are clearly defined, communicated, and embraced across the organization. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant, equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in product operations, program management, or similar product leadership roles in a technology-driven organization

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing cross-functional product processes in multi-product organizations
  • Experience leading large-scale product launches with defined themes and market impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and drive stakeholder alignment and process adoption across diverse teams

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Process Design & Ownership: Architect, document, and own the end-to-end product processes that span Product Management, Engineering, User Experience, Solution Analysts, Product Partnerships, Marketing, and Solution Consulting. Ensure that each phase—from ideation through launch and commercialization—is clearly defined, repeatable, and measurable.
  • AI Strategy: Develop a plan to embed AI into Clarivate LS&H’s Product Operating Model, including workflows, prioritization, and documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with functional leaders (VP/SVP level) in PM, Eng, User Experience, Solution Analysts, Product Partnerships, Marketing, and Solution Consulting to co-define roles, responsibilities, and hand-offs, ensuring tight alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Launch Cadence Transformation: Lead the organizational shift to a bi-annual launch cadence. Develop frameworks for release planning, theme selection, cross-functional readiness, and post-release impact assessment.
  • Change Management: Champion the rollout of new processes and role definitions by creating and executing comprehensive change management plans, including stakeholder communications, training, and adoption metrics.
  • Market Impact Focus: Ensure that product is setting up GTM teams for success.
  • Iterative Improvement: Analyze process effectiveness, gather feedback from stakeholders, and drive successive optimizations to maximize velocity, quality, and cross-functional satisfaction.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop comprehensive documentation, process playbooks, and training programs to ensure new and existing employees understand and adopt the product processes.
  • Workflow Design: Design and implement efficient, scalable workflows that enable seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams, streamline hand-offs, and support consistent execution of product development and release processes.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Define, monitor, and report on key operational metrics related to product process performance, release quality, stakeholder engagement, and market impact.

The Strategy & Product Excellence team provides General Managers and Product Managers with the data, research, partnerships, and processes to make the best possible strategic decisions for their businesses and products.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
