Job Description Summary:
The Planning, Performance Management, and System Economics department at AOU is responsible for leading System Value Creation by ensuring the organization is prepared for the future. The team oversees end-to-end Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Resource Allocation, and System economics to drive sustainable value creation. By enabling rigorous planning, forecasting, and performance management processes, the department delivers actionable insights to support strategic decision-making, promotes operational excellence, and leads financial communication across the System.
The Performance Management area plays a critical role in orchestrating the Business Planning (BP) process, coordinating all key stakeholders across the organization. This function is responsible for developing a deep understanding of business performance and trends, translating data into meaningful insights for Senior Management to drive sustainable growth. In addition, the team defines and leads financial communication within the Operating Unit and in alignment with Corporate stakeholders.
What You'll Do for Us :
Lead the end-to-end Business Planning (BP) process, defining planning timelines, key milestones, and deliverables, while coordinating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Act as the author of AOU’s performance narrative, translating financial and operational results into a clear, compelling story that supports leadership decision-making.
Define how performance is measured across the organization, partnering with the Finance Hub to digitalize, standardize, and align the business view of performance metrics.
Design and lead performance review forums, ensuring they are relevant, insight-driven, and supported by high-quality information that enables informed discussions and effective decision-making.
Accountable for the overall performance management strategy and outcomes across the Africa Operating Unit.
Acts as the ultimate decision authority for performance management frameworks, governance, and executive financial communication.
Requirements & Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience in Finance, Strategy & Insights, FP&A, or Performance Management.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive stakeholders, delivering clear, impactful, and concise executive-level messaging.
Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
Proven experience in data digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics, driving standardization and efficiency in financial and performance reporting.
Strong understanding of the System economics, including financial and relational dynamics with bottlers and key partners.

Provide high exposure to senior leadership at both the Operating Unit and Corporate levels, enabling direct involvement in strategic discussions and decision-making.
Offer the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the business within an AOU covering 54 markets and serving as a key volume growth engine for the company.
Enable a cross-functional and end-to-end view of the business, with regular interaction across all functions and close collaboration with bottlers and System partners.
Build a strong understanding of the financial impact of strategic and operational decisions, enhancing business acumen and leadership capabilities.
Position you as a key contributor to the company’s digitalization journey, driving transformation in data, analytics, and performance management processes.
