The Performance Analytics and Insights team is seeking a Senior Director, PAI Specialty Care Lead to own the end-to-end secondary analytics engine for Pfizer's Specialty Care business. This is a strategic analytics leadership position for someone who can interrogate data, identify what it means for the business, and influence decisions at the highest levels of the organization. You will lead a team of deep analytics specialists and serve as the primary analytical voice for Specialty Care cross-functional partners and commercial leadership.

Role Responsibilities

The Senior Director will own the following:

  • Architect and lead a best-in-class secondary analytics organization for the Specialty Care portfolio, setting the analytical agenda and translating brand strategy into rigorous analyses and measurement frameworks.

  • Build, develop, lead and retain a high-performing team of analysts; create a culture of intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and commercial impact.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional partners, BU leaders and heads of Specialty Care overall/IIS, delivering insights that are clear, defensible, and decision-ready.

  • Drive deep patient and HCP insights using syndicated, claims, and novel data sources — moving beyond trend reporting to uncover the "why" behind commercial performance.

  • Frame, structure, and answer the hardest commercial questions facing Specialty Care leadership, including competitive dynamics, market evolution, launch performance, and long-range planning.

  • Partner across GCA — including Data Science, Forecasting, and Digital Analytics — to pioneer new analytical methods, integrate emerging data assets, and push the boundaries of what secondary analytics can do.

  • Establish and enforce standards for analytical quality, data governance, and insight communication across the Oncology analytics ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a quantitative technical discipline such as computer science, engineering or related field.

  • 12+ years’ experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area

  • 8+ years of hands-on coding experience in Python, R, SAS, SQL or other data analytics tools in life science

  • Leadership experience required. Must have managed cross-functional analytic teams and have a strong track-record of hiring analytical roles.

  • Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting

  • Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data

  • Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans

  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills

  • Recent Healthcare Life Sciences and ecosystem professional industry experience is required, commercial/marketing experience is a plus.

  • Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.).

  • Extensive expertise in SQL, Python, Scala or similar; other object-oriented programming languages.

  • Extensive understanding of data visualization tools and experience designing and building complex dashboards, including but not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik and Looker

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
